Rumors are spreading that the Hoover Vacuum Cleaning Company has been awarded a contract to contain and clean up the oil spill.

The engineering departments at Hoover have been on a 24/7 schedule, working to come up with a hybrid technology that can take Hoover's expertise in vacuum technology and combine it with BP's oil knowledge.

Expect a public announcement soon.......

If they suddenly have some grand technology (which I hope they do) that will suck the water in, separate the water from oil, and spew the water back out....

I would say this may not have been an accident.

Hoover Press Release...

Today, the Hoover Vacuum Cleaning Company announces the first public release of their latest technology.

OilSkim (TM), a hybrid technology developed in cooperation with British Petroleum, is designed to assist with the cleanup of oil spills.

The first adaptation of the technology will be used in an aerial configuration using a fleet of newly developed aircraft designed specifically to take advantage of OilSkim (TM) technology. Future implementations of the technology will follow in the near future. Stay tuned.
