That's what we give my shih tzu when she gets fleas really bad and whines all night, and she's fine. You might wanna do some more research on it though, I don't want to be responsible for you hurting your dog. "And as things fell apart, nobody paid much attention" |

Ok, I did my own research: [link to answers.yahoo.com] They say it's safe as long as your dog isn't on any other kinds of medication [link to wiki.answers.com] same thing here, safe if not on medication "And as things fell apart, nobody paid much attention" |

Aspirin is fine to give, but not those. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 863564Right, and certainly not with alcohol. Tylenol and alcohol will eat up a person's liver -- I can't imagine what it would do to a little bitty dog! |

| try it, it works User ID: 961826 05/05/2010 10:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Get a piece of gauze that is about an inch wide and 15-18 inches long. Wrap it around the muzzle(snug, not tight) and then tie it behind his head...like behind the ears. That is what i used to do to my maltese to trim her before i started taking her to the beauty parlor. She fought me tooth and nail and would try to bite me ......and for just a little dog, she was super strong. But, with them muzzled like this, they can't bite! |

Just wrap them in a towel - with just the head out and put them in the bathroom sink - the towel seems to comfort them enough that you can clip (with scissors) around the face. Any of those electric things would freek them out. WORKS GREAT FOR ME AND THE DOGS, THEY GET USED TO IT AFTER SEVERAL TIMES AND IT GETS EASIER. |
