Anyone know how to sedate my dog in order to give him a trim around the eyes?

my vets give tramadol.

but you gotta go to the vet for it.

Valium, aspirin, benedryl, valerian root---safe for dogs BUT CHECK DOSAGE FOR YOUR DOG! Never give a dog alcohol.
(FYI aspirin is really bad for cats--they can't take all the same meds as dogs)

Do not give your dog anything without first seeing a vet (dog doctor).

Your best bet most likely would be a prescription strength tranquilizer/sedative that the vet can dispense in a one pill does the trick form instead of you attempting to cut a benadril down to the correct dosage.

The problem with dosing with human sized pills with small dogs is that you can OD the dog.

Yes Benadril can make a serious problem, hallucinations is one, liver issues is another.
