Gas prices jumping in Kentucky----what is it in your area?
We live northeast of Louisiville. Gas has been $2.85 for months. Now it is $2.99, moving up EVERY DAY. I don't understand why the oil spill is affecting gas prices. Why are we paying for BPs clean up mess? That oil well wasn't even in operation yet, so this leak shouldn't affect the oil coming into our country.

What is gas doing in your local areas?

oil prices are down , so when gas prices go up is it due to greed or the dollar falling in value.

I think Pres. O made all rigs in the Gulf stop until the Spill problem is figured out and the cause is found.

Really stupid, but stupid is as stupid does.

Plus, the Louisville region is famous for cranking up prices for any reason they can.

Re: Gas prices jumping in Kentucky----what is it in your area?
Yeah, Kentucky has done it before, but our situation is still the same. We have to pay their prices. This is just 87% gas, the cheap stuff. Diesel is even higher. It's $3.07 here in our town. Money is already tight. My husband has to decide whether to pay child support to his exwife, or buy groceries for us. He is torn, does he let his other kids go without, or do we go without? What in the world is going to happen this summer?! He runs a barber shop and people just ain't getting haircuts like they used to.
