I believe many prophecies are mandated in their original scripture by groups who created a template legacy. Generations pass along the "seeds" of these prophecies so the future generations permit them to unfold according to plan. I do not believe there is anything mystical about prophecy because they are little more than the wishes and desires of a prescribed scripture created exclusively by humans, yet are assumed to be divine in origin. All religions were and are created by man, however divine and mystical they sound. Any mystery can never be resolved, especially when used in a religious context. Most religions believe in an end of days scenario, that some strange event will cause human consciousness to awaken to a new life,in some extraordinary and exalted plane of reality. The problem with this ideal is no two religions can agree on which humans are entitled to be part of this stupendous "Rapture".
It seems very apparent countries like Israel have been working in concert to bring about their own special prophecy of a "chosen people", as if God decided they have it over another race or religious group. The entire concept of a "chosen people" is counterproductive to world peace. I am not against jewish people, Muslims, or Christian. I simply realize the move for world domination really begins with religion.
Granted, certain religions teach a moral code, but the human being must learn to live according to his conscience and not the doctrines and dogmas of another. As benign as most religions appear on the surface, this compulsive belief in a God Deity, is really nothing more than a form of mental illness.
