So are chemtrails designed to keep something out of our earth's atmosphere.....or to hold something in....like methane?

Re: BREAKING - Gulf Oil Spill is Releasing Methane - I said it then and now is confirmed 5000:1
Methane couldn't have had the main trigger for rig explosion, it couldn't have had "saturated the rig board", bacause methane is LIGHTER than air. It escapes upwards and needs a typical ratio of 16:1 parts of air/methane, It's not so easy to ignite. It's a secure, very clean and precious fuel....
......and it'a a big BUCKS business!!! (ask Russia..)

The gasses that saturated the rig floor must have been some other sort of gasses, heavier than air (there are a lot of them, and they are abundant among petroleum fields).

The most famous mixture of these heavier-than-air gasses is LPG, that for a reason means Liquified Petroleum Gasses

An idea I had and posted in another thread...

I had that idea a few days ago and got laughed at... Well, not a BUTT plug, but the equivalent of it.

What you need is a VERY FAST underwater missile, or a torpedo, with the nose being made from a solid dense metal, like copper.

They know the inside diameter of the drill pipe in the ocean floor, so the OUTSIDE diameter of the nose cone metal plug needs to be just a smidgen BIGGER, so it'll be a force-fit down the pipe.

See where we're going?

All that's left is a means to drive that sucker straight down the pipe thru the middle of the spewing oil at like 500 mph.

I suggest GPS locators dropped on the ocean floor around the pipe, so the missile guidance system can pinpoint the exact center and lock onto it... WHAM - !!!!!!!

Plugged !

What is there to lose?

Methane pocket did NOT cause it to explode, there is always methane pockets in oil drilling.
The blowout preventer failed, plus there is questions about the cementing job of Halliburton, as the same thing happened last here off Australia when Halliburon cemented a well and it was disclosed the poor cementing job caused it.

UPDATE:
The effort to place a containment dome over a gushing wellhead was dealt a setback when a large volume of hydrates - crystals formed when gas combines with water - accumulated inside of the vessel, BP's chief operating officer said Saturday.

The dome was moved off to the side of the wellhead and is resting on the seabed while crews work to overcome the challenge, Doug Settles said.

This confirms a large amount of Methane Hydrate is flooding from the well. This is bad, very, very bad. VERY BAD!!!

END UPDATE

It has been publically released today, Methane pocket is what caused the rig to explode.

Two things come to mind and both are bad news.

(1) It is a cover story. Which means the truth is serious enough to hide.

(2) The Methane Story is true. This means the spill has been releasing methane as well.

It would explain the Coast Guards ban over the Gulf of Mexico. Fears of sparking an explosion.

Methane is highly explosive in its gas state mixed with oxygen. The methane in the reserve is probably in a liquid state due to the pressures.

Just how much methane is being released? That is a crucial question. Enough can create an explosion so large it would shock the world. The size of the natural methane 'bomb' is only limited to how much methane can be released before it is ignited by lightning or other source of spark.

This is no laughing matter as scientists know methane explosions have happen before and can be very, very large. Thousands of times in magnitude of the largest nuclear bomb built by the Russians.

So, the big question is, just how much methane is being released. If the rig was destroyed by a methane pocket, how much methane is down there?

I swear by all that is holy, this prophecy was given and published in our church in 2007 by our pastor. It was printed and given to many people and recorded on the radio. Here is a portion relative to this catastrophe:

Global warming and underwater volcanic activity will slowly kill the oceans and water bodies on Planet Earth. This is already happening. The Apoxia or the death of oxygen in the oceans will destroy all or most of the marine life. The death of millions of sea creatures, coupled with sulfuric acid released by volcanoes, and methane leaks, will send a stench into the atmosphere in many coastal areas, poisoning the waters and the air and making many people who have lived off the water and marine life in these areas sick. This death of the waterways of America and the world coastal regions will have devastating impacts on food and fresh water capability. And more wars will be fought over these very resources. Water will become one of the most precious commodities. Safe food after it. Economies like the traditional Asian economies will have massive die-offs due to their high and in some places exclusive reliance on fish and shrimp as their main sources of food.

The worst is yet to come. If you believe in prayer, pray. If you don't pray for the rest of us who do. I am in Louisiana. This is not good.

If I recall, huge amounts of methane released from the oceans resulted in one of the world extinctions.

Aside from that, I find it hard to believe that BP is doing experimental research on the bottom of the ocean to cap this leak. Hell, Steven Hawking could probably have told BP a year ago a blown well could never be covered at such depths due to methane chemistry under the pressure and temperature a mile down.

BP should have been better prepared before drilling a mile down in one of the largest methane hydrate beds in the world.

In fact, if where BP I'd have Hawking working on this disaster.

I have heard no real news today on radio in Louisiana. They had baseball games coooking shows on the news talk radio and yes Fox ran NASCAR all day on the radio so who the hell knows? Friends on facebook sent me stuff re: the fix not working, who knows what's really up. It is quiet in the bywater, and I drove in from the northshore and didn't see anything odd really. It's cops a plenty but always is on that side of the lake.

Billerco's link

"Top Kill" appears to be BP's plan C for any hope of a quick fix. I popped around and got an explanation of the plan.

It’s been a lot of fun doing this work," Michael Byrd, a manager at the Houston spill headquarters said in an interview yesterday. "I wish it was under different circumstances."

Crisis-room engineers aren’t pinning all their hopes on the dome. They’re working on a variety of methods to stop the oil leak at its source. One project includes injecting substances into the blowout preventer, a piece of equipment mounted over the well that is supposed to seal it during a surge of pressure known in the industry as a blowout.

The blowout preventer failed in the April 20 explosion on the Transocean Ltd.’s Deepwater Horizon rig, leased by BP to drill a well off the Louisiana coast. The well began gushing oil into the Gulf after the burning rig sank two days later.

BP calls its blowout plan "top kill." The idea would be to block the oil from rising and direct it back into the well, Fryar said. Scientists and engineers working on the project were even considering untried methods such as injecting golf balls and other debris into the blowout preventer to gum it up, he said

No. They only had a few of the water cooled booms required to do the controlled burns. They haven't burned off very much of it at all.

Unfortunately, our government "enacted" a plan under Clinton without ensuring the equipment to actually EXECUTE the plan was in hand.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 960813

I was just reading about that earlier.

"The Permian–Triassic (P–Tr) extinction event, informally known as the Great Dying,[1] was an extinction event that occurred 251.4 million years ago,[2][3] forming the boundary between the Permian and Triassic geologic periods. It was the Earth's most severe extinction event, with up to 96 percent of all marine species[4] and 70 percent of terrestrial vertebrate species becoming extinct; it is the only known mass extinction of insects.[5][6] Fifty-seven percent of all families and 83% of all genera were killed. Because so much biodiversity was lost, the recovery of life on earth took significantly longer than after other extinction events.[4] This event has been described as the "mother of all mass extinctions".[7]

Researchers have variously suggested that there were from one to three distinct pulses, or phases, of extinction.[8][2][9] There are several proposed mechanisms for the extinctions; the earlier phase was likely due to gradualistic environmental change, while the latter phase has been argued to be due to a catastrophic event. Suggested mechanisms for the latter include large or multiple bolide impact events, increased volcanism, and sudden release of methane hydrates from the sea floor; gradual changes include sea-level change, anoxia, increasing aridity,[10] and a shift in ocean circulation driven by climate change."

It has all happened too fast. Nobody who is a real superstar when it comes to thinking, has had a real chance to figure this all out. It is 'happening as we speak' so whatever happens, happens. If it can't be contained and if there are methane issues then we could all be FUBARED.. Massive amounts of people moving away from The Gulf, possible HUGE methane explosions, inevitable oil contaminations, toxic fumes, not to even mention the death of so many species of sealife. Quoting AC 530536:

"SPONTANEOUS IGNITION OF PRESSURIZED RELEASES OF HYDROGEN AND NATURAL GAS INTO AIR

Affiliation: a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ

Abstract
"This paper demonstrates the “spontaneous ignition” (autoignition/inflammation and sustained diffusive combustion) from sudden compressed hydrogen releases that is not well documented in the present literature, for which little fundamental explanation, discussion or research foundation exists, and which is apparently not encompassed in recent formulations of safety codes and standards for piping, storage, and use of high pressure compressed gas systems handling hydrogen. Accidental or intended, rapid failure of a pressure boundary separating sufficiently compressed hydrogen from air can result in multi-dimensional transient flows involving shock formation, reflection, and interactions such that reactant mixtures are rapidly formed and achieve chemical ignition, inflammation, and transition to turbulent jet diffusive combustion, fed by the continuing discharge of hydrogen. Both experiments and simple transient shock theory along with chemical kinetic ignition calculations are used to support interpretation of observations and qualitatively identify controlling gas properties and geometrical parameters. Although the phenomenon is demonstrated for pressurized hydrogen burst disk failures with different internal flow geometries, similar phenomena apparently do not necessarily occur for sudden boundary failures of storage vessel or transmission piping into open air that have no downstream obstruction. However, subsequent reflection of the resulting transient shock from surrounding surfaces through mixing layers of hydrogen and air may have the potential for producing ignition and continuing combustion. Much more experimental and computational work is required to quantitatively determine the envelope of parameter combinations that mitigate or enhance spontaneous ignition characteristics of compressed hydrogen as a result of sudden release, particularly if hydrogen is to become a major energy carrier interfaced with consumer use. Similar considerations for compressed methane, for mixtures of light hydrocarbons and methane (simulating natural gas), and for larger carbon number hydrocarbons show similar autoignition phenomena may occur with highly compressed methane or natural gas, but are unlikely with higher carbon number cases, unless the compressed source and/or surrounding air is sufficiently pre-heated above ambient temperature. Spontaneous ignition of compressed hydrocarbon gases is also generally less likely, given the much lower turbulent blow-off velocity of hydrocarbons in comparison to that for hydrogen.

This is in response to SHR who knows the first law of thermodynamics, cut and pasted of course, but has no idea why the rig caught on fire.

Now, as to why there are 3 oil leaks:

Here is why:

There are "two underwaterpipelines near the rig which have been shut down for fear that they might be hit by the sinking oil rig." Two underwater pipelines plus the one they were drilling equals three. Three oil leaks. nyha ha ha.

Actually, the oil rig didn't hit them, they probably were ttorn open by the force of the blowout.

So much for their riser story, huh? [link to mobile.latimes.com]

This is for the moron who just keeps going on about the depth of the well.

The seabed is 5,000 feet below the surface of the water. That is one mile.
They claim to have been drilling at 18,000 feet below the level of the seabed (a worker claimed more like 20+) that is something like 4 miles below the seabed, which is what I said.

I know you are just trying to shut this thread down because you are scared. You're scared that I'm saying things that might get you into trouble, or just cause trouble, so you have to try, in some retarded way, to discredit what I'm saying. But, I'm right.

Everything that you have been told about this is a huge lie. There was is nothing left intact under that oilrig after the blowout. There is no wellhead. There's nothing but a hole spewing oil and gas. All the crap about submarines fixing things is pure bullshit.

Did you ever wonder how they could possible see anything at a depth of 5,000 feet underwater in a sea that was filled with spewing oil? Oil. There had been oil spewing out of that location for at least four days before they acknowledged it. They had no way to know it was happening because there was no possible way in hell that they could see anything in those oil filled waters. The rig was holding 700,000 gallons of diesel oil in pontoons. They didn't know if what they were seeing on the surface was from the rig or from the well. They couldn't be sure for two days after it sank when they oil slick just kept growing. There is and never has been anything that could be manipulated below the surface of the water, but even if there was, they couldn't possibly find it visually in the thickly oiled waters.

My posts sure scare the hell out of you though don't they?

Guess I'm probably get banned again soon. Booga Booga."
