I've been tracking this story since it broke a couple of months ago. There is no evidence whatsoever that the painting is authentic.

There is just that single image and a lot of talk - on blogs. Nobody in the archaeological- or anthropological community is taking it seriously.

There is one image. No provenance. No specific location details. No peer review. No official report. The 'anthropologist' that 'discovered' it is unknown to the rest of the anthropological community. Should I go on?
