Not the Eagle or the flag or the Star of David or any of that, but the power which moves through their bones, their veins and their trigger fingers. So if we try to say "Oh, the military is taken over by [insert group here]!" then we are diminishing what it means to defend one's beliefs. There is limit to the range of people who sign up to stand for something or to receive direction from discipline or who go to college to learn how to become leaders. There is no limit to the diverse crowd who can be willing to die for their beliefs, and personally, I love them all. Now, I wouldn't want either Red or Blue to control the gun. Both of these parties are like two halves of a pliers: twisted and meant to pivot one off the other. Picture a pair of pliers with one red handle and one blue handle and you'll get what I'm saying. But since politics is like TV-show of our modern day, then both of these represent something like the hollywood 'gel' that gets placed over a light. Personally, do you have the red gel on your light or the blue gel? In Hollywood terms, I think you get my point which is that the light throw will be a very limited light, strictly limited to a certain range, polarized against the light which has the opposite gel over it. For you non-filmmaking types, a 'gel' is a piece of cellophane, like when you wear colored glasses you get the opposite effect and the light inbound to your ocular nerves is being strictly filtered in just the same way. So politics is like a lit scene seen by people who have colored glasses on anyway. Only two colors are permitted, special opposite colors which evoke primal stim-response in human beings. You can't say it is just the sodomites either, because what was Sodom? In fact, the three people who escapes Sodom were Lot and his two daughters, each of whom got him drunk and 'raped' him, thereby producing two mighty nations from their wombs. How fucked up is that? Sodomy will be a non-word when we come to our senses as a nation. It doesn't just mean men who fuck one another up the ass and thereby avoid any interaction with the female. It means a lot of other diverse things, all tied up in a knot around one city burned to the ground by God. The events preceding and following Sodom, are similarly epic. And finally OP, I ask you this: What counsel did Jesus have about Sodom or the events that went on? No, you do not follow Jesus, but those who came after him to set us all straight. But in fact, the very notion of adding anything to Jesus' words or complicating them, means destruction from the Jesus spirit if it returns to Earth. Anyone who added to his words as preserved in the gospels, is toast. |
