I got news for you freeloaders. Most of you are lucky you are in the USA because most other countries cant afford to take care of people and provide a high quality living for lazy asses. Greece is the first country to collapse under the weight of its lazy shitbags and unfortunately the US may not be that far behind.

NO body blames the greeks from rioting. They are very brave peoples. Their bought off politicans sold them down the river to goldman sachs and the banksters.

Hopefully the greeks will kick out all of those crooked bought off bankster politicans and put in greeks that will give greece back to the greeks.

Now if only chicken sheet usa would do the same.

Congrats...you just wont the "I dont have a fucking clue" award for the day. Did Goldman Sachs make Greece want to take loans? Did the bankers demand that Greece take money? Greece, as a country with its corrupt politicians(I will give you that) kept taking loans but you cant blame this on the bankers who provided the loans that Greece asks for. Is it McDonald's fault for serving every fat kid who walks in and orders a Big Mac?

Re: Better to die from a bullet than working: That is the mantra of pampered, lazy Greek rioters used to living off the state
A red circled capital A – the international sign of anarchy – marks the door of the headquarters of the Anarchist Party at a university in Athens. Inside the lights are on, but nobody is home.

Demetra, a ‘conservative’ student, tells me her anarchist classmates are rarely in before mid-afternoon.
‘They like to sleep when they’re not being anarchists,’ she explains wryly.

Every inch of their base is sprayed with anti-capitalist and anti-state graffiti.

There are pictures showing pigs dressed as riot police beating downtrodden workers.

The usual thing. But one catches the eye: ‘Better to die from a bullet than from working.’

Demetra laughs with embarrassment. My middle-aged taxi driver Vasilis does not find it so funny and tells me this lies at the heart of the whole crisis that Greece finds itself in.

It is a country that’s not working hard enough and suffers from a bloated, money-devouring state and a mentality that the state owes them a living.

Vasilis is angry, not just at the politicians for bringing Greece to its knees, but at public-sector workers who are refusing to change.

Greece feels very much like Britain at the start of Thatcher’s economic revolution 30 years ago.

Greek politicians say there is no alternative but bankruptcy. The public sector and unions are up in arms.
Vasilis, who works 12 hours a day as a driver and earns less than €1,000 (£860) a month, says: ‘Imagine a restaurant earning €1million a year, but it spends €10million to stay open.

'That restaurant is called Greece. Too many of today’s generation are lazy, corrupt. They like to sit in the sun and drink ouzo.

'They want the state to pay. That’s why we’re in this mess.’
Last week, Athens was brought to a standstill as 30,000 protesters, including a small, violent hardcore of black-hooded anarchists, took to the streets to protest against measures that will cut public spending by £25billion over the next few years.

So just what are the Greek people responsible for in your opinion? Probably nothing since u seem like a freeloader like them. OP thinks that if everyone works hard and the free marker reigns we will be perfectly happy. Most of us anyway. The ones that work hard. Its a very good viewpoint. It really is. It holds true for most of human history. But the times are changing. Human labor is not the driving force of the economy anymore. So yes, people should get the necessities and even amenities of life for free, provide3d by society. Not everyone is going to be a rocket scientist, so what are you gonna do, kill off the 'free-loaders'?

Re: Better to die from a bullet than working: That is the mantra of pampered, lazy Greek rioters used to living off the state
Things are more complex than saying crap like "Greeks are lazy, that's what this is about".

Crony politicians bought room for action by giving the public sector a piece of the cake. As time passed the public sector got larger (each party brought its own people in the public sector as reward, then there's nepotism) and the piece of its cake got larger. Public sector employees got used to being given high pay, bonuses, benefits.

Meanwhile the politicians used public money for their own betterment, focused more on their wealth and petty politics, stopped doing their proper jobs to handle the country and allowed it to be annexed by the EU empire.

The private sector told them to go fuck themselves and stopped paying taxes, and now that the state is near bankruptcy the politicians are taking the cake away from the public sector.

No problem there IMO but the cake has to be taken away from the crony politicians too. If things get desperate we're talking about taking back the wealth they made from public funds.
