NASA Images from the Gulf: $H*T is about to hit the fan!

The greatest liklyhood of the spill to move into a position to get into the loop current and spread widely would be from the effects of a hurricane.
June hurricanes and depressions are common and more probable that a Northern cold front descending upon the Gulf this time of year.

A further concern I am having is how the spill will if allowed to expand affect the (reduced) evaporation over the surface of the Gulf. Many potential effects could come into play. It might actually reduce hurricane intensity but could also effect negatively rainfall totals along the Tennessee Valley and the Eastern Seaboard States. Will it result in possible drought conditions? Will the lessening of Gulf storm intensity reduce the moderation of temperatures on the continent producing colder North and hotter Southern temperatures.

No one can tell you now, but these are legitimate questions. But like anything in balance, when it is thrown off kilter a cavalcade of catastrophe can ensue.

Not only that but the fish population was decimated by the freeze this year. At least in Tampa Bay.Not sure how it was up and down the coast.

The Lake of Fire is the Dead Sea, not the Gulf of Mexico. It is all about Israel and Jerusalem, NOT USA and NOLA.

Still, the disaster off our coast is major doomworthy.

Funny, I too must be becoming GLP influenced, because as this topic came up last night, as we are located in the gulf of Mexico, I quoted the same thing. Too bad I didn't have the smiley flying the double bird!~

Amazing to me that still ... nothing seems to be happening much around here. Seems like by now all hell would be breaking loose by our CITIZENS! But it's not. Now my husband's frowning on me, "are you blogging on that GLP"... God forbid that I exercise my freedom of speech. God forbid that I say what's on my mind. Well, the fishermen, they're done, they're going to contract God knows what types of diseases from the government "filling the void" for them. After all, since they can't fish anymore, they can clean up oil. Who cares what happened to them 20 years from now. It's NOW that they'll be worried about. So, BP will put them to work, cleaning oil. Everything is going to change here. We all bought into the "American Dream" own property here, worked hard to make a life here, and now, it's basically over. No one is talking about the massive pockets of methane gas that will travel with this spill. What happens when they reach the shore? What happens when it really reaches the shore and it keeps coming in with each new wave? Will the methane pockets make similar situations here on our soil as in the African Lake that killed ... I believe 1700+ farmers? From a pocket of rising methane that formed a cloud over the village and killed all but 4 of them? What happens to us? Is that a possible scenario? Are we going to be walking out to drive our children to school and drop over? What happens if they catch the bottom lying leak on fire? As in what happened with the rig, but right there at the bottom where all the methane crystals lie that they are trying to contain the leak near? Is it possible to ignite the leak there and cause an explosion similar to a nuclear detonation? If so, how much of the gulf coast would that wipe out? Hypothetically speaking OF COURSE! For entertainment purposes only! How many of us are going to blow sky high? Miles inland? Shores of what states? Texas to where? Further?

Yeah, nothing about the fact the water is polluted, the wildlife are greatly affected, and mankind ... well, it's too bad we hurt others in our race to extinction.

I agree, but I think most of us feel like that is a given. We cannot do much for marine life, because it resides in the ocean, and right now, they're not even allowing people close to the spill. Just what's rolling onto the shore and into the wetlands. I'm disgusted with the entire effect this will have on our gulf, speaking of marine life. Thing is, most of us are trying to figure out if we'll be here to aid in whatever recovery we can help wildlife make, or whether we've yet to be blown to bits along with whatever remains in the sea.

Then you should be paying us big money.
