Ive heard few times they can even purge some evil things ^^ : D The Atlanteans wanted to domesticate cats, probably as pets and companions. It's also one of the reasons the Egyptians deified cats; Egypt was an Atlantean colony and their treatment of domestic cats is a memory from Atlantean times 12,000+ years ago. Genetic manipulation of the natural world was one of the reasons Atlantis went down. Fortunately, domestic cats survived, unlike many of the chimera's they created.
