Back in the 1980's Plattsburgh university did a study about this possibility. THC was given to first to animals, then to human volunteers. The final amount of extracted THC used in the test was equivalent to that found in about 1300lbs of marijuana. No one died. No one even got sick...
THC was deemed INNOCUOUS by the study. Anyone that supposedly died from pot use, died from complications from something else.
