I think the character to really take note of is the mother. She is on video tape singing goodnight. They could have gotten anybody to play that role - any bit extra could play it so no need to choose someone for their acting ability and that left them free to send a message with her character.

She was extremely pale, not just fair but very fair, hair blonde but not white. The kid also was like mum in the video clip but the actor playing him was quite a bit darker.

Well, the date that they gave in the movie has come and gone. So in keeping with all the other 'backwards' things, I would put the date backwards as well.

The way this world is going, it doesn't seem that much of a stretch at this point...guess we'll see.

The astronauts wife; Henry Poole is Here; The book of Eli; 2012; Iron Man 1 (and 2), Dr Parnussus; the matrix series, the Cube series, Get smart, Lord of the Rings, The Box, Angels and Demons, Darjeeling Limited; the Nines, Numb3rs, nearly every new release carries a sub message; truthful facts inserted into scripts ... its even in all the childrens movies. think about the weekly drama series ... LOST, FLASH FORWARD, HEROES, MEDIUM, GHOST WHISPERER ...

most movies are now carrying the themes of forgiveness, redemption, letting go of hate and fear, of reconciling, release and love.

now, either the industry is carrying out some huge accidental (or coincidental .. but i dont believe in coincidence, only in synchronicity) common theme, or the industry is working to INFORM us, prepare us, for what is on the horizon.

I know we have all become accustomed to thinking of movies as fiction, but you cant deny the placement of cold, hard facts within the scripts. and there is a sub-theme, multiple sub themes that can be found within all of them.

5 minutes into the movie they are placing the time capsule in the ground - the cover design - is like the Earth with latitude lines, but there is writing - I can't read and there is a shield design - what is that shield design meaning?

A P is in the top left corner of the shield - an S is in the bottom right corner of the shield - the top right of the shield, looks like it has 3 stars with some writing under it and then the bottom left of the shield, I can't make out what it is.

OK there is something naughty on the time capsule cover.

They have on it a male phallic symbol. It has what looks like a phallus coming up from something that looks very much like balls and has an arrow at the top.

The obvious symbol of male and in the middle of the length of the phallus is a ring. So it looks like the phallus passes though the ring.

It's all a bit naughty, ring literally comes from the word anus!!!

You notice as he is watching it he says 81 - this is the next number supposed to die in some event.

But I think the 81 relates to the oil rig?

WHOA - Interesting symbolism - in the movie - almost at the end, he is talking to his father, telling him to get underground.

What is interesting, is the father is standing on the side of the staircase - the father is a minister. BUT the handle of the staircase at the end - there is a HUGE Dragon's Face - carved from wood with it's mouth opened!!

To me - they are putting the minister and a reptilian together!

at 35 seconds into the start of the movie there is a possible cypher; numbers are replaced by letters...
