With all of the oil and natural gas floating near the surface of the water, they have to close all the oil rigs in the gulf. That means no gasoline. Gas shortages.
They won't talk about gas shortages because this time it is going to be different from Katrina. This time, the rigs won't start up again until the leak is fixed. The last time this happened in the Gulf it took 9 months to fix. It took 9 months and the leak was 150 feet deep. 9 months to fix a leak that was 150 feet deep.

This is 3 leaks and it is 5,000 feet deep.

THAT is what they aren't talking about in the immediate future.
