401k: Fuck it?

A 401K is merely another of TPTB's illusion tools being used to rob us. I suggest getting out while any getting is still an option. In my case, it allowed me to walk away from my job purposely in Oct. '08 so I could get something from it & "retire" early at 41. With those funds I have been committed to heart & spiritual work that has opened me to a surprising feeling of being willing to surrender most all of my material possessions - an ongoing process. I no loger worry about money the way that I did. The $$$$$$ system is set to fail. Part of me can't wait since it's such a ponzi schme designed to serve the few & deceive the masses. The new human lifestyle will be more indigenous in nature. It's going to take some getting used to so I am starting to make the adjustments now while I still can.

I haven't been contributing to mine since early 2009. Still have it but I want my money. Just don't want 40% taken out so not sure what Imma do with it.

This is exactly what happened to Argentina. They confiscated everyone's pensions, put into their treasuries, oops gone...

Plan ahead, if you can...

Get rid of your 401K.

Buy water, nonperishable food, medicine, gold, and silver in that order.

Hold very few dollars going into summer, none of your money should be in ANY bank anywhere now.

If you don't do this, you will end up eating/drinking "numbers on a page" when the SHTF which is IMMINENT.

The penalty tax is 10%. The other taxes you pay now or later.

To 794588, I lost 10%, and I would have to pay taxes anyway when I cashed it out, besides I made over 10% in another investment even without a job. I don't believe in the system anymore and expect you will find out the hard way.

It used to be a good idea. Now I wouldn't put in except what employer will match. I use my roth, moved it in and out of the market so it's okay,

Nope I have never put into a 401k. Although my last employer signed all us employee's up for 401k against our wants / needs one year. See they used to give us bonus's yearly, christmas, or if the company was doing well. And one year instead of handing everyone their bonus, they opened up 401k accounts for everyone and put their bonus's into that. Needless to say, myself and everyone was very unhappy about it. Especially since some of us needed the money, or relied on that money yearly for whatever reason. Sooo I had a 401k started for me, they didnt even offer employer matching. But as soon as they let me go, a little over a year ago, I closed it with them, and transfered it over to an IRA. I have made more money in my IRA in 9 months, then I made in the 401k they opened for me in the 5 yrs I was there. What they did was against the law.. we found, but everyone prefered having a job so we kept our mouths shut.

We figured it had something to do with taxes as to why they didnt just hand us bonues like they used to. Sucked !

Usually they set it up where you can take a loan against the money you have but cant cash out unless you quit or fired.

I have been trying to get out of my 401K since the fall of'08 when I saw the SHTF and knew that the time was short. All these programs haven't solved anything, just delayed the unevitable. How can you solve a debt problem by poring more debt into it?

Our 401K is set up through Fidelity and there is absolutely no (other than termination) way to access any of it other than the loan route. It isn't your money as they act like it is theirs!

All my money is in the 'money market' option (not FDIC insured) currently as this is NO market to invest in; bonds are even questionable, as I fully expect the US government to default on their debts.

The main plan I have, since I can't get at any of this money, is file a claim against our company's GL (general liability) policy under the 'employmnet benefits liability coverage'. You should check to see if the company you work for has this coverage. This coverage ensures, among other things, against someone from obsconding with the company's 401k program.

I figure that if the company is denying me access to the funds I have contributed into this program and I lose ANY principle amount due to unprecedented market behaviour or outright removal by the government, when I could have taken it out and stuck it into an FDIC insured CD at the Credit Union, this could be viewed as 'theft'. I will be compensated one way or another.

cash out, take the hit and buy physical gold, not paper certificates

Old age is when you pay for all the mistakes of your youth. My 401k has grown nicely and seems to be working for me.

do this ASAP and buy land free and clear, away from the city. Worst case you dont pay it all back and owe taxes though, so keep that in mind.

401K dollars feed the sick system that is run by the corrupt oligarchy - the ruthless, hegemonic cabal of controllers & regulators that have massively deceived their constituency. Can you really believe that this system is truly designed to benefit you? with all that has been shaken off of the tree of truth lately?

Once the grand cross of July 7-8 hits this summer, many of the structures around the globe will seriously beging to fail for good & the fraudulent retirement investment system will be left an empty broken shell of an idea. How do you get your $ from that?

In personally breaking out of my bonds to corporate tyranny, I extricated my soul from human slavery to the global elite. ITFEELS SO GOOD to know that I don't support them through credit & mortgage interest, taxes, ++++ like I used to. The IRS & the FED are private corporations seving their own profit ONLY.

Yeah, I stopped doing my 401k several years ago. I would rather have access to my savings than in the suck fund.

200K today will make you a million + in 20-25 years in a sp500 fund. You guys are crazy not to take advantage of a 401K. Hope you like to eat dog food...

It doesn't matter if you like it or not, soon B.O. will force you to have a mandatory gov't retirement account, that you must contribute to via payroll deduction, that will invest in gov't-approved investments, i.e.- treasuries, etc.

this is what i was just talking to my buddy high up at JPM about.. he told me buy get this: "fools" gold and diamonds ....his reasoning?? easy that if TSHTF and the economy fold.. you think whoever your trading with is gonna have a gold tester with them when they trade? NO plus diamond are way easier to carry !!!!!!!!!!

I've made massive lifestyle changes & continue to spend my cash reserves that came from cashing out my 401K prematurely a year & a half ago (with no regrets). I immediately recognized that so many people are living alone paying the man all these ridiculous bills & am now sharing space with others (OMG, NO I don't live with my parents. Yikes.) This helped a friend reduce their expenses, too.

I am about to journey to the four corners area with my tent & a few new survival & sustainable living skills that I've learned in the last year & a half. Time to practice what I beleive to be best. Even though I've really done my homework, I know it won't be easy to make such changes but, I just can't support these MF'ers anymore!

All the folks around me are concerned that I get another
J-O-B doing something that I like. I was a 6 figure earner for a few years. Well, it will have to be a non-employee role that doesn't contribute a penny to TPTB. I recognize that this isn't for everybody & sometimes we have to walk alone in our convictions.

Just doing the best I can with what I have - wish everyody had a nest egg & great faith. It's truly been a gift.

Problem with this idea is that if TSHTF and you get caught raffling off bogus shit you will be shot in the forehead with a very large caliber bullet. Good luck with that asshole.
