you watch what happens. These are purposely placed rumours which hopefully go viral and put extreme pressure on the Euro. Then bang - it goes the other way. Watch this space I bet you a billion Deutsmarks the Euro bounces and burns the USD next week.


Yeah, it almost looks like they are actually preparing a Dollar crash, or more specifically a Dollar replacement.
Think about it, there were a lot of weird deals in the past with Greece that resulted in their difficult financial situation (actually just like in any other country...), but Greece would have been fine. What turned a difficult situation into a disaster was the arbitrary opinion of a couple of people who work for rating agencies (the same companies that helped banks to sell all these really, I mean really bad deals knowingly!). Without Standards and Poors downgrade, Greece would be fine, or at least not any worse than any other country. So it really was a first strike in an economical war against the euro, but what for?
The US dept has reached a scale were the only option left, is a default of the Dollar, but in the second you default the global currency people will look for an alternative. Before SP downgrade of Greece, the alternative was the Euro, now that has changed. But because of a still strong German economy the eurozone can support the euro. If you spread rumors that Germany might leave the euro, nobody will rush out of the Dollar and into the euro and there will be a massive panic because there is just no alternative to the dollar.... Except for the currency that replaces the Dollar.
This is the only way for the US to keep their position, with a globally dominating currency. Dump the dollar, leave no alternatives and give them the new solution with a new dollar. (of cause the exchange rates will be adapted so that the US looses its dept and dollar reserves (china) will be worth nothing).

this site wasnt down since... i dont know.. i cant remember that it was even 1 time down.. so maybe there are too many informations for the people on it.. and maybe the german government is not so amused about it :)
