BP deploys second containment box | |

THAT'S A CLASSIC FUCKING LINE. THAT'S LIKE SAYING THE TABLE SERVICE ON THE HINDENBURG WAS NEARLY FAULTLESS, BUT DESERT WAS NOT SERVED PROMPTLY. |

AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK, EXECUTIVES PLAN TO HOLD THEIR BREATH AND STAMP THEIR FEET. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 968018 05/12/2010 07:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sounds optimistic the first dome that failed, I could,nt help but notice the diameter of pipe coming out of it looked only slightly bigger than half the diameter (12") of the ruptured wells riser pipe which is 21 inches in diameter, surely this bottle neck would form a constriction, and clog up as it did, so it will be interesting to see if this new smaller dome has a wider diameter pipe coming out of it. |

Quoting: guy369The big one couldn't get settled so you use a smaller one!? Are these guys for real? You are psychic we all are, trouble is reading the signs before the mind steps in. I would favor a much larger structure that was more egg like in shape with a huge diameter pipe right too the surface, this would reduce the massive pressure being exhausted by the well. At present it seems their trying too piss in the wind. |

Might as well sit back with our lemonades and snacks and enjoy the show! Honestly - the only way to stop this leak is to find a way to contain the leak. You can't stop it. It's too deep, and the pressure is too great. Last Edited by guy369 on 05/12/2010 07:37 AM We are Stardust |

I knew something was up when I thought this was HUGE news and yet there's no real news on the news for this news (haha, yes, I had to say 'news' that many times) It always happens like that, it's sad when 'dancing with the stars' news comes on my television before this oil spill does. Dancing with the stars = 4-5 min news segment. Oil leak = 1min. What kind of world is this?!?!!? We are Stardust |

Christ first they say they were drilling 18,000 feet below the bottom NOW it comes out they were 30,000 feet down; below the salt layers. GOD knows what the pressure on that oil is! The whole deals bad for all life The sooner its plugged the better I have many friends in the drilling business from roughnecks right up to the ones that are in charge of these rigs, over the years some of them have lost their lives at work, its a heavy industry. I recall visiting one now deceased, on his dinning room table there were 15 passports and all of them were his. |
