This well is NOT in international waters, BTW. It is under the jurisdiction of federal regulation, inside the 200 mile limit
but what depth does that limit apply to? it is my understanding that underneath the surface of the 200 mile economic exclusive zone that it does not apply after the end of the continental shelf.
