I have just heard a very good comment on a German radio station (Deutschlandfunk) critizising BP and the US government. They don't do anything and are still hiding the facts.
Why hasn't the Government interfered after it was very obvious that BP is unable to fix the problem?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 970211a couple of possible answers: tptb are absolute maniacs with an agenda to turn the Gulf of Mexico into a dead zone, thereby fully approved for any/all future drilling. tptb dropped the ball and under estimated the enormity of the situation. I totally agree, the lack of tptb running roughshod over BP after the first week of their OBVIOUS INCOMPETENCE is completely unacceptable.
