Gulf Oil Spill and Clathrate Gun Hypothesis
[link to en.wikipedia.org]
The clathrate gun hypothesis is the popular name given to the hypothesis that rises in sea temperatures (and/or falls in sea level) can trigger the sudden release of methane from methane clathrate compounds buried in seabeds and permafrost which, because the methane itself is a powerful greenhouse gas, leads to further temperature rise and further methane clathrate destabilization – in effect initiating a runaway process, as irreversible once started as the firing of a gun.[1]
In its original form, the hypothesis proposed that the "clathrate gun" could cause abrupt runaway warming in a timescale less than a human lifetime,[1] and might be responsible for warming events in and at the end of the last ice age.[2] This is now thought unlikely.[3][4]
However there is stronger evidence that runaway methane clathrate breakdown may have caused drastic alteration of the ocean environment and the atmosphere of earth on a number of occasions in the past, over timescales of tens of thousands of years; most notably in connection with the Permian extinction event, when 96% of all marine species became extinct 251 million years ago.[5]

Ocean Floor Rising, Methane Gas bubbling, Gulf Oil Spill... Any connection?

I googled 'ocean sea floor rising' and some interesting stuff came up... hmmmm

"Now, field studies by Shakhova and her colleagues, reported in the March 4 Science, suggest that the submarine reservoir of carbon has begun to leak.

BUBBLIN' PLUMESSonar reveals several plumes of methane-rich bubbles rising from the Arctic seafloor. A new study finds the plumes are a large source of planet-warming methane.Shakhova et al./Science 2010
During six cruises in the region from 2003 to 2008, the researchers gathered data at more than 1,000 spots in the Greenland-sized stretch of shallow ocean. The team also took atmospheric readings of methane concentration during one helicopter survey and a wintertime excursion from shore onto the ice-covered sea, says Shakhova.
The researchers found unexpectedly high amounts of methane dissolved in seafloor waters across 80 percent of the area they studied. In some spots, methane concentrations during those six years averaged more than 80 times normal. Because the water over the shelf is relatively shallow — average depth in the region is about 45 meters, Shakhova notes — much of the methane reaches the ocean surface and then wafts into the atmosphere.
Previously, scientists presumed that the carbon trapped in sediments on the East Siberian Arctic Shelf was sealed by permafrost, as nearby deposits on land are. But there’s a big difference between the two, Shakhova says: Much of the permafrost on land remains intact because it’s exposed to bitter winter cold, whereas the seafloor permafrost is bathed in cold, yet definitely not freezing, salt water. The annual average temperature of seafloor permafrost is between 12 and 17 degrees warmer than that of nearby land-based permafrost, she notes.
The warmth of the seawater, as well as heat flowing up from within the Earth, has thawed the seafloor permafrost, releasing the methane, the researchers speculate. “We don’t know how long it’s been bubbling like this,” Shakhova adds.
Sonar images show plumes of methane bubbling from the seafloor, indicating that the gas originates in sediments there. Other measurements show that the methane isn’t generated in the water by microbes or brought to the seas by rivers, Shakhova says.
Each year, the researchers estimate, nearly 8 million metric tons of methane make their way to the atmosphere over the East Siberian Arctic Shelf. That’s more than previous estimates for all of the world’s oceans, Shakhova notes.
Siberian seafloor sediments are spewing much more methane than previously thought, but they’re providing only a small fraction of the estimated 440 million tons of that planet-warming gas emitted to the atmosphere each year, Martin Heimann, a biogeochemist at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena, Germany, comments in Science. Nevertheless, he notes, release of a sizeable fraction of the carbon trapped in these sediments would lead to warmer atmospheric temperatures, which would in turn cause more methane to be released."

"Underground stores of methane are important because scientists believe their sudden release has in the past been responsible for rapid increases in global temperatures, dramatic changes to the climate, and even the mass extinction of species."

There's a Coral Sea tsunami station located at 14.803 S 153.585 E (14°48'9" S 153°35'6" E), and it's been in "event mode" ever since the large earthquakes recently occurred in the area. Apparently, the buoy is being triggered by anomalous water column height above the sea floor, and the data seems to show that the ocean floor beneath the buoy is rising at the alarming rate of thirteen feet per day. View the Coral Sea tide chart here.

The location is also close to the Vanuatu Islands, which have been abruptly volcanically hyperactive for several months now.

For the first time, three-story tidal waves have been caught breaking and creating long trains of billowing turbulence more than 1,800 feet (550 meters) down along the ocean floor.
The new observations shed light on the oceans' underappreciated internal waves and where they break in the deep sea -- something that needs to be better understood to improve global models of the oceans and Earth's climate.
"In the deep sea, (breaking waves) has never been observed," said Hans Van Haren of the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research. Van Haren and his colleague Louis Gostiaux have described their discovery in a paper in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.

It was like something out of a Hollywood disaster movie. On March 3, a sudden wall of water hit a cruise ship sailing in the Mediterranean Sea off the northeastern coast of Spain, killing two people, injuring 14 and causing severe damage to the vessel.
According to Louis Cruise Lines, the owner of the vessel, the Louis Majesty was hit by three "abnormally high" waves, each more than 33 ft. (10 m) high, striking in clear weather and without warning. "We heard a loud noise, and it was the wave that hit us," Claudine Armand, a passenger from France, told the Associated Press Television News. "When we came out of [our room], we saw the wave had flooded everything."

At least 63 Russian miners died today when a methane gas explosion ripped through a coal mine in western Siberia, an emergencies ministry spokeswoman said.
Four other people were missing in what coal industry officials said was one of the biggest mining accidents in Russia in decades.

First, the oil companies, in co-op, have various WATER pumping stations, which pump incredible amounts of water into the ground at locations that are known to be interconnected to the location in which they intend to drill for oil or natural gas. This process is called "WATER REPLACEMENT," referring to replacing the oil or gas they extract, with water.
Since America's oil and natural gas reserve(s) are all interconnected, all of which are collectively referred to as the HUGOTON PANHANDLE (H-P) GAS COMPLEX, the location of the oil field, and the place where they are pumping water into the ground, could be thousands of miles apart.
The replacement water being pumped into the gas reserve is what places the oil under pressure, and causes it to "spurt" out of the ground.
They need to pump two gallons of water into the earth for every gallon of oil that they intend to drill, or in cases of shale rock, three gallons of water for every gallon of oil extracted.

The pumped-in water which is meant to replace the extracted gas and oil eventually finds its way down to the water acquifer below the reserve, because of the vaccuum that exists in the acquifer. Then the oil/gas reserve is left with a void space, which also creates a partial vacuum, which will then suck air (which contains oxygen) down into the gas reserve from the surface of the earth, thereby mixing oxygen with the gas fumes in the reserve.

Once the oxygen to gas ratio reaches fourteen percent, the "mix" becomes volatile, and subject to exploding,. if it is ever ignited. A mix of twenty-one percent oxygen to gas ratio causes that particular area to become a genuine fully loaded bomb, just waiting to be ignited by any spark or flame.

Due to the Panhandle Reserve being overworked since the very early 1900's, there are now huge pockets of oxygen mixed with natural gas all around the PANTEX nuclear storage facility.

See?

They have their rubes at Huffington run a 'Comedy' story which jackasses around the globe link to as being a true, factual news story about Goldman Sucks shorting the gulf....

Later that day and the next anyone who linked to the story and took it seriously gets laughed at: "They'll believe anything!" "Racist scare mongers".

Then, weeks later the real truth comes out.

INDEED Goldman Sucks DID short for profit the day prior to the ''accident''.

But what people will remember (those who can remember at all) is the 'joke story'.

So years later when this comes up they will say: "No, that was some internet rumor!"

Huffington is a scum source for any news. Read their site with much caution.
It is clear they did this at Goldman's bidding.

No joke: Goldman Sachs shorted Gulf of Mexico

It turns out that Goldman Sachs really did place shorts on TransOcean stock days before the explosions rocked the rig in the Gulf of Mexico sending stocks plunging while GS profits soared -- benefitting once again from a huge disaster, having done the same with airline stocks prior to 911 then again with the housing bubble.

by Sterling D. Allan
Pure Energy Systems News

On Apr. 30, the Huffington Post published a story stating:

In what is looming as another public relations predicament for Goldman Sachs, the banking giant admitted today that it made "a substantial financial bet against the Gulf of Mexico" one day before the sinking of an oil rig in that body of water.

The new revelations came to light after government investigators turned up new emails from Goldman employee Fabrice "Fabulous Fab" Tourre in which he bragged to a girlfriend that the firm was taking a "big short" position on the Gulf.

"One oil rig goes down and we're going to be rolling in dough," Mr. Tourre wrote in one email. "Suck it, fishies and birdies!"

Not being aware that the author, Andy Borowitz, is a comedian, scores of Internet sites ran with the story as being genuine. As of today, Google search on <Goldman Sachs shorted "Gulf of Mexico"> pulls up 207,000 returns, beginning with the Huffington Post link. Many, such as Infowars, pulled their stories when they realized the mistake.

Christopher Rudy noted:

The news about Goldman's bet against the Gulf comes on the heels of embarrassing revelations that the firm had taken a short position on the housing bubble, profiting from economic collapse, followed by more billions in government bailout support that paid out a couple billion in bonuses to thousands of loyal Goldman "officers" (corporate stakeholders).

We shouldn't be surprised. The owners of Goldman Sachs are the same Rothchilds co-owners of the privately held Federal Reserve Banking System, and they know how to play this game. Watch how Congress capitulates to Wall Street losses that the lap-dog press attributes to "bankster bashing".

Goldman Sachs just settled with the SEC for $450,000 (one guy's salary for a month; or the price of one nicer home lost, among millions due to the collapse) as punishment for shorting the mortgage balloon. (Ref.) They made billions in the crime.

StreetInsider.com reported on April 30 in their "Top 10" recap for that week:

Shares of Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) fell about 7% this week as execs were grilled on Capitol Hill and then, later in the week, the SEC referred its fraud case against the firm to the Justice Department for possible criminal prosecution. While much of Wall Street cheered Lloyd Blankfein's snappy responses to an onslaught of questions, Main Street rejoiced as Carl Levin "stumped" other execs with "meaningful" interrogation tactics aimed at exposing the corruption within the US financial industry.

You can certainly see why people would be quick to believe the comedian's satire piece about Goldman Sach's shorting the Gulf of Mexico.

However, just because his piece was satire, doesn't mean there isn't something to it. The reason humor is funny is because it lampoons reality, providing an exaggerative and simplified caricature to bring out the key issues in a non-threatening way. Historically, especially in times of heavy oppression, the best truth tellers have been the comedians. Benjamin Franklin certainly used humor to his advantage in helping to win America's Independence.

A. True Ott, Ph.D., wrote the following to me last night:

I have confirmed that there were indeed numerous "shorts" placed on TransOcean stock just days before the "problem". Was it Goldman Sachs? That is yet to be conclusively determined (there is indeed a SEC investigation ongoing) -- but labeling something as "satire" is a lawyer's shrewd trick to keep from being sued for slander -- even if it is all true. Moreover, there were massive shorts placed literally seconds after the news hit the airwaves.

Who would dare to quote the actual e-mails from "Fabulous Fab", unless the writer would post them as a "satire" - especially after what happened to the Wall Street Journal writers who dared expose the 9-11 short sales involving Goldman Sachs. (They were assigned to Afghanistan, and had fatal "accidents" there.)

Dr. Ott has subsequently confirmed from two sources that Goldman Sachs was indeed in on the shorts being placed on TransOcean stock. (See Email from Don Nicoloff documenting Goldman Sachs short puts on TransOcean stock.) And he has confirmed that the comedian was aware of that as well.

Dr. Ott had me and Paul Noel on his two-hour radio show yesterday talking about the viral article we posted, "Mother of All Gushers Could Kill Earth's Oceans".

In response to the alleged Goldman Sach's shorting story, Paul, who is an expert on the Gulf Oil subject, provided the following intelligence:

There is a reason they could have known the rig was going to fail up to two weeks ahead of its failure. The nature of these wells is that they leave the drill mud in the well and compress using very heavy drill mud to keep the well from blowing up unlimited. The well would begin to bump (similar to boiling a big bubble) and the acoustic signals would tell the rig was in trouble that far ahead. Goldman Sacks could just have had inside info. They also know the scale of things. This is the best explanation. It could be otherwise.

If you were going to sabotage a drilling team, all you would have to do is load a lighter mud in the mix as they pulled a drill pipe. .... There are lots of ways to have this happen either accidentally or deliberately. Goldman teams are great on statistical stuff sort of like the odds of rolling dice. They might just have figured stats for probability of a failure.??? Of course we could surmise other reasons are possible.

In our interview with Dr. Ott yesterday, both Paul and myself pointed to the magnitude of this disaster as hopefully a death knell to the oil industry, spurring people to finally provide the support needed to get the myriad of free/renewable energy technologiesthat have been languishing into the marketplace. These would not only be much cleaner than oil, without the huge environmental consequences and risks, but in many cases they could be cheaper than fossil-based energy; and many of them provide distributed capability removing the need for a central grid.

This revelation about those with insider knowledge in fact shorting the TransOcean stock prior to the explosions, will hopefully also spell the beginning of the end of the ultra corrupt financial faction who have wrested control over the worlds financial organs. Their days are numbered as they show their true colors in the midst of an increasingly enlightened populace who will not continue to take their abuses. These ultra power and wealth addicts need to be humbled by serving time in prison with common criminals who will not give them privileged treatment. A bullet or lethal injection would be far too merciful and dignified.

Do we have a shred of clean justice left in our corrupt government system which has been bought out, blackmailed, threatened, or otherwise brought under the control of these New World Order manipulators?

It's a dark day in which we live. But I am confident that brighter days are ahead. This time of transition is going to be a wild ride.
