The bible is full of stories about the Israelites disobeying God..forsaking him and EVERY single time he lets very very evil people rise to bring them into bondage

The Old Testament stories were before Jesus Christ redeemed mankind. God does not orchestrate or even allow catastrophes. Until Jesus Christ returns, God clearly is NOT in control of everything. If He were, we would not be grieving over last week's events in Connecticut, because He would not have allowed the horror to occur. And He does not allow tragedy to "teach" us lessons. That is a lie from the enemy, the actual source of everything evil. Please forgive if my words sounded hurtful becasue I do not intend them that way. Every good thing comes from God. Jesus Christ has redeemed us. Yes, there are consequences for our sins, but they are not from God.

That is the way i understand Holy Scripture.

1st Timothy 6:10 sum it up

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

If you look at everything that is and has destroyed our planet it was for money even the selling of guns which America does not realize the are victims of the NRA

Great reference. So many miss the first part and call money itself evil. Money is an inanimate object. In the right hands, it helps accomplish much good. I often feel led to emphasize this.
