The devil is in the details.

A common tactic these days is to have a vulnerable looking (White) woman knocking at the front door. She may even be somewhat attractive. The homeowner cautiously asks through the locked door: Can I help you madam ? She responds: "My car ran out of gas a couple blocks away. I don't need money or to borrow your phone sir, but if you could loan me a gas can it would be much appreciated." The homeowner is relieved that it is not a solicitor, and may even invite the lady indoors or at least go and promptly fetch a gas can for her.

As soon as he opens the door, the house is violently stormed by 3 muscular apes wearing corn rows and dew rags. These apes had been hiding around the corner, and will now proceed to brutalize and likely kill the homeowner and his family.

This Craigslist robbery went down in a similar fashion. The homeowner dealt with a woman on the phone who said SHE would be coming by. A few minutes from the house she called to say she was bringing a 'friend' with her.
Still did not raise alarms apparently.

Screw craigslist & facebook...just another tool for the evil in the world.

Didn't read any of the previous posts to this thread. I am just pissed at the continual lack of good grammar in GLP. The OP's subject seems to depict a scene out of Deliverance. I expected a story about some guy pimping out his daughter/bride but is killed when someone reply's to his ad.

im just not going to live my life in fear. people can go around with guns killing each other all they want but i will have no part in it. everybody is paranoid and fearful and that makes you more vulnerable to evil anyways.

as for craigslist. i dont use that anyway because i realize there's wackos out there.

By the way, how is placing an ad on Craigslist any more dangerous than an old school classified ad in a newspaper or "trader" style tabloid?

Seems like it's more a sign of the times than a result of the technology used to place the want ads.

Also, remember to use caution when answering an ad in order to buy something. It would seem like an even more effective criminal tactic would be to try and lure somebody somewhere with a seemingly great deal for a cash transaction.

Also, either getting killed or killing the intruders aren't the only two options.

If this guy had gone to the door at 9 PM with a gun in his hand and said "You can come in and do business with me but I'm going to be holding this the whole time just to be sure" it's a good bet nobody would have been killed.

Yes, it's a sick truth we all need to accept. Those who would take away our gun rights are apparently fascinated with watching people die at the hand of those who do not care about laws. Obviously they have thought through the gun ban idea. It's also obvious that you could ban every type of gun everywhere in the U.S. and criminals will still have them. So the results will be that anybody who really stands within the law will be defenseless against those who do not care about the law and will definately have weapons. It's a prefect ploy! Ban guns and watch good people die! Trust me, they love it! Politicians, sheople...any and all pro-gun-control people love it...

The only other possibility is that they are too dumb to think the results through. But really, is anybody that dumb? I think they like the idea that good law abiding citizens die miserbale deaths.

Well, you sound like a prime candidate for gun ownership! The point of the gun is the alleviate the fear. Take a trip to the gun shop, make the purchase, go home (make sure it's readily handy), and wallah! No more fear!

I sell things on there all the time.
Nothing over $200 though.

I would never offer anything that's really
valuable on there for sale. That's just

I hope all four of those Pieces of trash ( I would call them Human scum, but in my opinion they don't qualify as a human) get the death penalty. Why even waste tax payer money on the trial they all confessed and have been identified. Who cares why they did it, just let the state give them their leathal injection and be done with it. Then charge the criminals families for the cost of the injection and short incarceration.

old news I posted a couple days after it happened but still heart breaking. Dam kids 3 boys one stupid teen girl neighbors said started hanging with the wrong crowd. very very sad indeed. The group also hit a couple more housed before the murder but just tied up the victoms and robbed them.

It is best to met someone in a safe public area instead of your home... to complete the transactions.
