Here's what I think about the Gary Mckinnon story.

1.) He's a bit of an oddball, with Asperger syndrome and all. You can't help but feel sorry for him considering how long the U.S. wants to imprison him for. He wasn't trying to kill anybody for fuck sakes.

2.) If the U.S. doesn't have a space fleet, you would have to conclude they are way over reacting. Then again these ass hats like to make mountains out of mole hills everyday.

3.)If the U.S. does have an interstellar fleet and all of this data is all over the place on poorly secured networked computers, that Mckinnon could hack with a 28.8 baud modem, why hasn't more leaked out? Even Mckinnon stated that he saw other hackers in the network while he was penetrating their network.

4.) How many people does it take to run an interstellar fleet? My guess is probably one fuck of a lot. With this many people how could this be kept secret, especially one this big. I'm not a fan of the arguments around "they keep it secret or they will kill the personnel and their families." Sooner or later someone with nothing to lose has to come forward. I'm not talking about disclosure either. My opinion is that the disclosure initiative is pure disinformation.

My Conclusion:
The U.S. military does not have a space fleet and they are using the Gary Mckinnon spectacle as a disinformation campaign. They want people to think they do.

I wouldn't be surprised if what Ed Grimsley sees at night is some how related to this over all disinformation campaign as well.

I would love it if we could travel to the stars. I would be the first to sign up, but sadly, we are stuck with governments and military competing for world dominance instead.
