The interview sounded very believable. However, I think there was an alterior motive: to be certain the blame was laid at the feet of BP.

This is just like the Columbia space shuttle disaster. The managers at NASA pushing the workers to step up the pace, disregarding normal safety procedures. This occurs all the time in industry.

Just on national news they have managed to insert a 6" pipe into the leak and are syphoning 'some' of the escaping oil to tankers. The news also said there were 3 'plumes' of oil that is not just surface but goes to the bottom omg so much oil.

That engineer doesn't play around and try the diplomatic-speak. He's clear and concise about fault.

Deepwater Horizon's Blowout, Part 1: 60 Minutes' Scott Pelley speaks to BP's Chief Electronics Technician Mike Williams, one of the survivors of the deadly Deepwater Horizon oil rig blast who was in a position to know what caused the disaster. Williams was in charge of the rig's computers and electrical systems.
[Williams] says the destruction of the Deepwater Horizon had been building for weeks in a series of mishaps. The night of the disaster, he was in his workshop when he heard the rig's engines suddenly run wild. That was the moment that explosive gas was shooting across the decks, being sucked into the engines that powered the rig's generators.

"I hear the engines revving. The lights are glowing. I'm hearing the alarms. I mean, they're at a constant state now. It's just, 'Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.' It doesn't stop. But even that's starting to get drowned out by the sound of the engine increasing in speed. And my lights get so incredibly bright that they physically explode. I'm pushing my way back from the desk when my computer monitor exploded," Williams told Pelley.

saw this last night. i was impressed with the reporting, alot less BS. OF course there is bullshit here at some point, its MSM. But at least they actually tried to do some actual reporting for once.

and mr. Mike williams, im sure he has been fired.

did he say BP execs died on the rig???....the kids in the boat said they had there face's burnt buy the methane..however, everyone knows methane is odorless and tasteless???? hhhmmmmm...maybe something fishy here?

but it shouldnt burn your eyes. IT might have mixed with other gases, their was diesel fuel spilled right away from the rigs own fuel source into the water, CO2 and other gases mixed, no telling what else.

its very feasible your eyes will burn near a buring oil rig lol.

the Deep water horizon spilled 700,000 gallons of fuel by itself, on top of the gusher.

I saw it too, when Mike Williams spoke of his co-worker Andrea, he said they were standing together on the platform before he jumped, and I wondered what happened to her???

The smell of excrement is (H2S) hydrogen sulfide. It's akin to what they add to your natural (methane) gas lines. H2S is either used in or a by product of oil refining.

Methane is colorless and odorless.

Had I posted all of the expletives going through my head, I would most certainly have lost my 'lady' status. I can assure you there were many and these bastards need to be held accountable. Not with money alone, but through criminal charges including, but not limited to, homicide.

I'm still just...these fuckers need to be taken down.

The gulf of mexico should own the queen and the the ashhole london banksters that own BP after this. But it won't happen because of a few laws set up before hand.
