You've been watching too much "Jericho".
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 851753

I'm not not American, I don't live in the US & I don't watch American synch shows here.

I don't care for Hollywood trash series but I do know where to put my €uro - converted into a more stable currency now & no, it's neither the Canadian $ nor the £ (will crash this year, too) nor in AU$.

Physical gold is better than any cash currency. The price of real gold (not papers) will continue to go up.

The '€uro' will fall to 0.80 Cts.

Americans are...Were here to stay, just like are currency
Nope. Financial time-line:

June 2010.

Sovereign national debt will implode & cause a financial crash that will dwarf the one of October 2008.

This year WWIII will start.

America will get its backside burned. It won't survive the way it is now - most likely break up in four parts (N, W, S, E). That's been 'unoffical' for a long time.
 Quoting: Quartz

Like many, you really don't understand how the United States is made up. Very much like Europe, we have 50 nation states bound together by the Constitution. Now, for the last 150 years, the Federal Crooks, er, uh, Government has been trying to brainwash us and tell is that is not the case, however, the only reason we LOOK different from Europe is that we've always had one currency and one language. It is easily confused, but, we are not one country, we are 50 nation states. We were simply 200 years ahead of the Eurozone and much more cohesive because of the currency and the language.

Just think if, in Europe, everyone had spoken German and used only Deutsch Marks how things would have been different. Unfortunately, the development of European civilization was much less directed that the USA.

But, the underlying framework of the USA is very much like Europe in that the our States are really independent countries. An, lacking a cohesive federal government, will operate that way. In fact, our federal government has become too brazen and too controlling above and beyond its original charter (The Constitution). Now, it has run up debt to an astronomical level. The District of Criminals is about to be flushed down the toilet and the States will form a New Federal Government that will stick to its charter (at least for a while).

The Federal Government, its crooked and perverse mandates and the IMF tool called The Federal Reserve area about to be flushed. The inhabitants of the 50 Free Republics are tired of getting FUCKED over and over.

You might also look at converting some into gold equity stocks like the Junior gold miners and gold exploration companies. (symbol "TRE") is one of this exploratory companies I anticipate will rise more percentage wise then the physical. If you get your shares direct registered in your name, it will be a safe investment. Do not leave them in "Street name" like Scottrade. Gold junior mining companies might appreciate more in value by 5 times physical gold. The good ones that are not hedged will even be paying you dividends.

I meant to type that gold equity companies might appreciate more percentage wise then the percentage physical gold will. If gold doubled in value, you might see the mining stocks appreciate 5 times as much as you paid or more. Some gold miners rose 1500% back during the depression.

The sooner the crash the better. The CRASH is the only thing that will save us. When the old barn finally catches fire and starts falling down, have your shotguns ready, boys! Thats when the rats will leave in droves. Target the fattest ones first. The children can chase the smaller ones with shovels. Lock and load and keep the ammo coming!

Obama is increasing NASA's budget, FYI. He cancelled the Constellation program and increased the budget. Not because he has any clue, but because that's what the Augustine Commission told him to do.

Two friends of mine bought Centamin Egypt (CEY.L) at 12p 3 years ago, 15k sterling each. We all laughed at them down the bar as they bought on the strength of hearing a conversation down the squash club, they are now trading at £1.60. That's a return somewhere around £180k sterling (albeit paper profit)not bad for a guy on a salary of £55k.

Have to agree though physical gold is worth holding. I read in Moneyweek that they advocate holding 10% - 15% of your worth in physical precious metal to protect against any eventuality. If I only I could afford to lol

You don't even know how to live without your fake bills anymore so how can you even begin to "sign" this without having any real options?

America is too divided to ever come together as a real nation.

It's over.

Hmmm, if the Germans pulled all the undeclared money out of Luxembourg you would end up on the fields again harvesting your carrots and what not!

Labour's gross mismanagement of the economy was laid bare today after it was revealed a former minister left his successor a note that said 'there was no money left'.
In a stark message left in a Treasury desk, outgoing chief secretary to the Treasury Liam Byrne wrote simply: 'I'm afraid to tell you there's no money left.'
His astonishing admission came as George Osborne announced that he will deliver his first emergency Budget on June 22, exactly six weeks after the new coalition Government took office.
Mr Osborne said that he would also be setting out next week details of the £6 billion of spending cuts to be made this year as latest figures from the Institute for Fiscal Studies calculated for the Guardian suggested public debt could double from £890bn to £1,790bn.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 687755

What if you convert to Euros and the Euro collapses? I sure would wait til the last minute if you are traveling to convert anything. If you have any personal debt, you really should be paying it off instead of traveling. Either that or just change it to physical gold currency (or silver currency) til you are ready to take your trip. You can just sell it off right before traveling if you wish. I still would not take the trip unless you don't have any personal monthly payment debt.
