So what did the King do? He gave them land to farm, so they can feed themselves, if they stayed with the farm they then became legal owners with full title deed.... Then many sell up, build a new house buy a brand new pickup and can no longer put food on the table....... go figure!

You do not know of what you speak..... simple. For a start Thaksin was still running the governmant via proxy for a year after the coup, during which time none of government workers (teachers, Doctors etc etc) got paid......

Well you could be right. The normal method is; Create seperate factions in the country you want control over, arm both sides, let them start rioting and fighting(use agent provokaturs as well) Then say "ooh look at all these naughty people fighting we need to send the big boys in, send in the army!" They send in the army start killing everyone, the public then accept and submit to whatever dictatorship you want.

Red shirts have displaced a lot of people, their actions have precipitated death, injury and loss of property to Thai people and farang alike.
