Miracle baby found sitting in the road by alert bus driver at night

Couldn't watch vid - dial-up. Was baby abandoned or just on the loose? And how old?

But I guess I'm just a worry-wart mom type. I would never let a 14 month old just hang out in another room with the other kids unless one of them was at least 16 or older.

And what's up with the dad? With not even a "thanks" to the bus-driver.

Hopefully it was just an accident on the mom's part and she is usually better at watching her kids.

That is a good news story, though, in that the baby was unharmed. How lucky that some drunk or teen speeder wasn't driving on that road at that time.

The local news ran the story it has been sitting on for a yr in a effort to support CPS continuing harassment of the adults of that kid.
The baby crawled out the doggie door and made it as far as the street outside the home. Not, neglect! kids can crawl faster than you think. The local CPS coming after years of scandal tries to make an issue out of 'news' worthy cases and ignore the others. If it was not a city employee bus and its spy cam, this would have been a non-issue.
CPS has been trying to show the adults are bad, but have not had much to go on since.
If I was those folks I'd move away!!!

The parents should be blamed IMO, but if that bus driver had been looking at ANYthing else, there would be a flat baby.

I was driving on a fairly busy city road one spring day about 15 years ago and happened on a toddler in nothing but her birthday suit. I pulled over as fast as I could and ran and got her out of the street. She must have been 18 months or so. I asked her "honey were do you live" and she pointed to a house a little ways away. I grabbed her hand and we walked and I knocked on the door. No answer. So I really really knocked on the door. Door opens and a guy who looked stoned and drunk answers and I asked did him if he was missing his kid. I explained that I had found her in the middle of the road alone. He says yes it's his daughter so I scoot her inside and her father turns to go back inside. I grabbed his arm and said not so fast I'd like to have a word with you. He starts to get kinda aggitated so I grab him by the throat and pin him to the house and let him know in no uncertain terms that if I ever see that child in the road again I am going to come find him and break his jaw. I looked him square in the eye and told him what a piece of shit he was to be drunk and stoned at noon and to put that child in danger. I made sure my point was well understood and let him go. I never did see that child in the road again and sometimes I even went out of my way to just drive down that road and check. I don't know if I handled it right but I sure wanted to mess that guy up for putting that child in danger

It happens often. Children are curious, inventive creatures who find ways of opening doors, etc.
That is the reason for Child-Proofing the House with those stupid knobs, etc.

The thing that bothers me about the parents:
Midnight and the children were just being put to bed? WTF?

I feel bad for the mother who may lose 3 children. I am not always on the side of Department of Children Family Services. They sometimes overstep their bounds. Would love to know the details. The children are cute.

Thank God for an observant Bus Driver. He seemed like a really kind man.

I came across a Child no older than one year old on a 6 lane highway (sidewalk) all alone and no parents. The baby had slipped out the screen door.

YOU NEED STORM DOORS WITH LOCKS.

Yeah and prob. a law suit against the bus company because the driver should expect a baby to be sitting in the middle of the street at night.

If you are a mother of a child who can already walk or (go on all fours), but not old enough to think (age 9 months to 3 years) one of your eyes should be always on the baby, whatever you do - at all times!!! Not impossible, JUST HAVE TO CHANGE PRIORITIES.
