oooh this happened years ago..

Living with my now xhubby in a house out in the country - built 1867.

In bed asleep - entire household was sleeping - I suddenly awoke witha strong sensation of being watched. I opened my eyes and turned my head to the left and was looking at a young girl - I'd have to guess at her age, about 12 or so. Long dark hair, long white-ish ´'nightgown' (it looked like a nightgown). Looked a bit dirty and scrungy. She was staring me down - looked quite angry, but didn't move nor speak. I didn't move either as you can imagine I was quite shocked. A moment later, my eldest daughter began crying/screaming from her bedroom.. Her crying became louder as she approached our room (she was about 5 yrs old). As she came into visual range, I slowly turned my head to the right, looking out the door into the kitchen (yea this is denmark ;P) and saw her come in to our room and climb into bed. I then turned my head to the left again, and the little angry girl was GONE! :O

Told my x in the morning, he thought I was dreaming. I know I wasn't :S

Later, We woke one morning and my body was covered - from neck to toe - with pictures (photographs) spread across the blanket.
Other nights we would wake to find all electric appliances running - this only happened a few times though.

After renovating the house, which included breaking the roof apart and reshaping it, the incidents stopped.

At the time, the upstairs was not in use by us or anyone before us. That is, none of us living in the 1900's. It was just the bare frame of the roof - old old wood and open to the weather. On the far side, was a small squared off 'shack' as I called it. Looking through archives and talking with locals, we found out that at one point a couple had lived here (remember the house was from 1867) and they had a young mentally ill girl whom they kept in the attic.

Poor little girl :(
