In their defense, and there isn't much to defend here, people aren't made to be ruled by committees, no human is going to know everything about every single one of the 50 or 60 congresspeople or whatever there are of them.

Of course not, you might Google it, or he might just happen to be YOUR rep so you know because of that, but the majority of people have no clue.

Because people are not made for the complicated type of government we have.

People are set up mentally to follow one man of ideals, one leader, not hundreds.

It goes against human nature the way we have the system set up.
