Mainstream news is repugnant that nobody really can share their point of view, because they have to be "unbiased". They show you what THEY want you to see though, so it is hardly "unbiased"... far from it. I hate GLP though for (as someone said earlier in this thread) the religious extremists. I used to believe more people were awake from the cults of mass religions. I also thought that if you WERE religious, that at the very least you took your faith with a pinch of salt. NOPE! It's 2010 and people are dumber than they probably have EVER been in history. There is also the issue of how unbelievably brain-dead some people are (aside from religotards)... but those people won't be 15 years old forever, so maybe there is hope. ;) Oh well, at least it'll never get old making fun of peoples' avatars... Like YOU Gradient... Feel free to get rid of your wretched child molesting clown picture any day... Lacan calls the specular image "orthopaedic" as it leads the child to anticipate the overcoming of its "real specific prematurity of birth". The vision of the body as integrated and contained, in opposition to the child's actual experience of motor incapacity and the sense of its body as fragmented, induces a movement from "insufficiency to anticipation". In other words, the mirror image initiates and then aids, like a crutch, the process of the formation of an integrated sense of self. In the Mirror stage a misunderstanding – "méconnaissance" – constitutes the Ego—the 'moi' becomes alienated from itself through the introduction of an imaginary dimension to the subject. It must be said that the mirror stage also has a significant symbolic dimension. I am still working on my left brain problem. I also have told mostly the truth on this forum, only the learned part, if there is a mistake it because the learned part wasn't true. I have written the truth of and experience my family had 1953 all except the part about area 51 was the cover story. No one believed it. That is what is fun you can tell the true and no one believes me. I try to be myself most of the time, I do have a sense of humor, that can get me in trouble. I take no offense, if people snap at me.
