It is a self-aware spiritual entity where people thinking that there's a big change down the bend can gather, joke, and trade suppositions on what is the nature of that bend. It is an important place, and many people who have posted here are meant for much more in the turns of time.

I've been to many forums, and GLP is the closest to a totally free speech forum in existence.

All the others are afraid of lawsuits.

I post fear/doom thread because, guess what, there is a lot of freakin' doom out there.

And most of the info doesn't come from GLP, it is reported on GLP, there is a great difference in that.

You know, people used to say the same thing about newspapers.

Is GLP government controlled? Probably not, but does it matter? Not everyone in the government wants to keep bad information hidden.

We have a window of opportunity here, in these last remaining sane forums. I say sane because I have seen and read some crazy junk out there. At least in this place the mods don't cut you off if you hate their ideas. The reptilian stuff really bothers me. Nor do they cut you off if you post such stuff. I used to visit ATS all the time, but the shills over there really are obnoxious. At least the ones that visit this place are nicer about it, all but a couple, which have actually boasted on here that they like ATS better. I find that kind of funny. Why come here if you like ATS better?

One thing this place has that the others do not, a sense of humor.

So, you don't like the doom/fear threads? Then go to a care bear site and talk about rainbows and unicorns, leave this place to the hard core rockers. Yeah, Baby, Yeah.
