But OP, you can write. Write about the possiblity of a harmonious land one day. Or write about your glorious memories of what used to be. We need that. We need to know what is possible. A vision of good and harmony for our future. And we need to be reminded of the past. The good times. The fantastic seascape. The cleansing smells. The clean water. The gathering of the clan around a pot of fresh shrimp.

Until all is restored, we need you. An eye witness. A chronicle of memories. A story of times gone by. And a vision of the future.

OP illustrates a danger that many of us will face in the coming changes : we humans can get so caught up in mourning our losses that we don't allow ourselves to "live in the now" enough to respond appropriately to current situations, ultimately making things worse for ourselves than they might have otherwise been.

It takes a hard, tough heart to make the most out of a bad situation, and too few of us will have what it takes. Most of us will be hardpressed not to get caught up in the backwash of our own emotions, and find ourselves jigging when we should have been jagging.

Edit: I done forgot about my new 4-wheeler Haliburton bought me. We used to go muddin' while the crawfish was boilin', but now I tink we gonna go oilin' instead. Bruh, in about a munt it should be tick enough ta ride on.

Life as I know it has ended. Never Would I have thought I would have been a face of Doom on GLP. Not in a million years.

Within 60 miles of the spill, I have over 1300 crab traps (1337 exactly)(I know its cool) but its not anymore. I also had 2 shrimp boats and a deep sea tarpon rodeo boat. All to which my life's fundings went toward.

As far as my life, we absolutely thrived on crawfish boils, crab boils, shrimp boils, the boil sessions that bring the family together every week usually poppin with a pool party, has ceased to exist as of now.

The only thing I can do now, ha ha. *takes a shot*

Is sell my life.(fishing stuff) and work double time at my paws shop working as the shop machinist building torque wrenches and other tools for Transocean, BP, and other oil rigs across the world!

Yes. We are all guilty. But for those who were closest to the profits (myself included) to become enraged at the situation is hypocritical to the extreme. Especially people who KNEW the dangers involved in drilling, and KNEW (I mean REALLY FUCKING KNEW) the land and balances required.

Though that in itself is another story. Oil brought the means to integrate the Cajun culture into the greater society (read NWO), and drastically removed them from the self-suffiency they maintained for 200 years. Again, this was handed over for a handful of beads and some blankets - which now appear to have a touch of the small pox.

As far as the language, that's straight from the horse's mouth from over 20 years of experience. Every time I heard the bragging regarding frivolous shit bought with big paychecks from working offshore, it was in that dialect (except my own, I had the shit but not the accent).
