Anonymous Coward User ID: 977332 United States 05/22/2010 10:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey OP - I imagine you have insurance on your fishing boats/equipment: do you have business insurance, also? It may contain a 'loss of business' part in it where you can make a claim that your biz has faltered due to an outside influence. Had a little shop a few years ago and when the town was torn up to put new water and gas lines, the street was avoided like the plague. . .we were able to put in a claim. |

You could move, Hawaii, Montaulk NY and Alaska have great fishing still and may be spared some of the main initial brunt of all this but it's really one huge ocean. Whatever you do, good luck. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 977699In a fair world, you would be fully compensated for the harm that BP (and/or whoever is ultimately responsible) has caused you. Unfortunately, this is not a very fair world. :( The True Story Behind the BP Oil Spill [link to video.godlikeproductions.com] The speaker in this video can see right through all this mess. Anonymous Coward User ID: 901059 United States 05/22/2010 10:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ................ Quoting: Heretic_333F*ck My life. Might have to sell my computer soon. If by chance I get too busy, this is my farewell to all you guys. You truthseeking morans. Peace. ............... Hey, as long as you remain true inside, keep a strong heart, you will come out on top. In times of suffering, disasters, stress...we become stronger. Think of it as a body building work out. When we stress our muscles we get stronger. When we face stress in life we gain strength. Just be careful with the booze. Too many people ruin their lives with that stuff. Drink for fun, never drink to numb because it always ends up as a problem. The revolution is here! Many people I know are being tapped on the shoulder by the dead. |
god did not give dominion for User ID: 956677 United States 05/22/2010 10:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm so sorry, OP, It's time to start fixing responsibility. #1 The Bush administration who did not meet an environmental or Oil & Gas regulation it liked and did not, at best, water down, and at worse, remove much to the delight of the "capitalists" and "free market" folks. #2 Those who will now impose socialism ... taxation on everyone ... by making the taxpayer pay for it. BP will not pay for it. This is an INTENDED CONSEQUENCE. ( #3 Those who think that fish and fowl and wildlife are unnecessary to modern, capitalist life. Even those who hunt them from helecopiters, or laugh about fried spotted owl or turtle soup ... you know the kind ... god gave man dominion, so there is no need to protect at the cost of capital profit and/or kill at will. #4 Drill, Baby, Drill instead of solar, wind, geothermal, Tesla, conservation, small cars, and make big prizes to Silicon Valley and Cisco and Oracle and Apple and Google on it...done in 2 years, max. It is political. It is the corporotocracy running the government and taxing/socializing their "mistakes". Regulation is liberal...spreading the cost between those who are actually responsible, not socializing the "oopsies" amongst the taxpayers. Environmentalism is liberal. We need dolphins, whales, sea turtles, fish, wolves, crustaceans, algea, et al. Sorry, again, OP. I live near a fishing economy, too. Our turn is coming unless ... |

It was Love that put Him on that cross and Love that Resurrected Him from the Dead. That way He can resurrect each one of us and in the meantime, we can be in heaven with Him when our appointed time here is done. Everything else is just temporary. |
DoomGasm User ID: 817395 United States 05/22/2010 10:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If Florida wants to regard Grand Isle as a laboratory to study the effects on tourism from that dark swill vomiting up from the wreckage of the Deepwater Horizon, early indications look damn near fatal. Grand Isle's mayor closed the beach Friday afternoon but his order was not much more than an empty gesture. An obvious question hung over a mostly empty strand: Closed to whom? Just across Caminada Pass, a surly Jefferson Parish deputy sheriff guarded the entrance to the beach and wildlife reserve on Elmer's Island, another local tourist favorite, as if keeping the press away would keep the news of the island's defiled sand and poisoned marshes from reaching the mainland. ``You wonder why all the hostility,'' said John Hazlett, a University of New Orleans literature professor, who, like The Miami Herald's reporter and photographer, was turned away like a criminal trespasser.
