Any May Sarton fans in the house?

I'm trying hard to remember the title of a wonderful Sarton book I read 20-25 years ago. It might have been in a diary format, wonderful content about her gardens, keeping house, watching the days go by. And I thought there was something about a friend, a companion, who was ill with cancer. Can't remember if she was moving in with May, or moving to another house, or ....?? And that might have been a 2nd book.

Anyone familiar with her work who can guess at the most likely title(s)?
