OP, I think your kid's message is both timely and highly relevant - if only for information's sake. have you thought about contacting a radio talk show to speak more about what they say? or perhaps just write a formal timeline of events online like a Blog of sorts? I really think this should be explored.

I also had similar stuff happen when I was a kid, but I'm 42 now and that youthful spirit has kind of been pushed down a bit...
