The banks decided to limit operations in cash at the increase in currency in the country and to prevent resource operations illitic provenance. Most institutions abolished the purchase of foreign currency through the window and deposits.

Managers of various banks confirmed that the decision was made to detect an increase of dollars in circulation, resources that were unknown origin.

In addition to increasing currency surplus banks to move to the United States and that creates transportation and security costs.

They stated that transactions with dollars in electronic media has no change and remains open to sell the currency at the counter.

HSBC was the first bank to cancel the transactions in cash dollars. BBVA Bancomer, Banamex and Banorte, among others, implemented measures to prevent transactions with funds of illicit origin.

Carlos Lopez Moctezuma, general director of special projects for the National Banking and Securities Commission (NBSC), said that institutions are not required to cancel transactions in cash, but that it was "of an individual and business decision taking as a preventive strategy. "

He said the provisions to combat money laundering issued by the Ministry of Finance does not require banks to cancel transactions in cash.

Financial authorities estimated that each year the bank sends 14 000 400 million U.S. dollars. They explained that when there is a surplus of dollars, derived from sale-purchase transactions or deposits, the institutions choose to send that nation to invest resources or for exchange, which also involves a cost.

Personal note:

The bad thing about the dollar's death is that when that hapends, every other currency will get hit, specially the mexican Peso.

So there is no safe place exept from silver and gold
