I think my dog was psychic too. No matter how quietly i would open a bag of cheeto's in the house he would instantly find me.

A serious word of caution regarding supernatural contacts from the Good Book; "When you are entered into the land that Jehovah your God is giving you, you must not learn to do according to the detestable things of those nations. There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead.  For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you. You should prove yourself faultless with Jehovah your God." Deu18:9
This probably does not apply to your situation, just offering a word of caution regarding the direction you may be going. spock

Just let him grow with his gifts. Don't tell him its not real, or that its wrong or bad. Just let him be and listen when he wants to tell you something - without judgement.

Re: I Think My Son Has Psychic Abilities
Yes, the legitimate way is to allow him to indulge his gift without judgement or control from you or any other adult. Allow him to make mistakes because he will. As someone said earlier, let him be, leave him alone and just let him do his thing and evolve at his own pace.

If you get him involved with ANY group, class or anything remotely religious and he really does have a gift, then someone will come along and try to use and control your son. Keep him as far away from the military and the freemasons as you can.

Re: I Think My Son Has Psychic Abilities
Sometimes it takes a long time for them to embrace their "gifts."

For my son, all that did was make him feel "different." You know how it is when you get bullied - you find a way to fit in, and that involves ignoring everything that is different about you.

I guess my advice would be not to send him to public school. I know that is impossible for many families, but that seems to be the only way to let their gifts grow unhindered. Otherwise, it will be stomped out of him by those that hate anything unknown.

Re: I Think My Son Has Psychic Abilities
Spiritual "gifts" were granted to the first century congregations for the purpose of promoting the "good news of the kingdom" to come, 1Cor12:1-7. They enabled on lookers to identify God's spirit now active on earth. However Paul explained the miraculous powers were only temporary.
"Love never fails. But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with.  For we have partial knowledge and we prophesy partially;  but when that which is complete arrives, that which is partial will be done away with. When I was a babe, I used to speak as a babe, to think as a babe, to reason as a babe; but now that I have become a man, I have done away with the [traits] of a babe." 1 Cor13:8 By "that which is complete arrives", Paul meant the bible, which explains all things.

Re: I Think My Son Has Psychic Abilities
Depends on how old he is. meditation, yoga and martial arts practices all build with a mental component. Tai chi is perfect. Then mantra, like om, for him to repeat when he is upset at the world. Then books, laura Day, is one. I studied with Laura. She know her stuff and is gifted. James van Praugh, i studied with him too, and Elizabeth harper, studied with her too and Robert Moss, him too. best let him be comfortable, test him with playing cards, and sports scores before the game, then to be of service to others.
Hoe this helps
