It is Stereo Ahead, which is 70 some degrees ahead of Earth. It sure is Earth facing. And if you feel it's not, please explain why you believe so. I don't want to broadcast lies but from what I see, that was it!

How long does it normally take for a solar flare to reach the planet?

Im assuming a Hydra flare will reach us much faster considering the much higher energy release.

How is earths magnetosphere holding up?

I'd normally be able to determine all of this myself but im running on GPRS with my mobile broadband here since 3g went down half an hour ago.

Stereo Ahead and Stereo Behind COR2 shows it lines up to be Earth facing.

The only object that was facing Earth at the time and capable of such an explosion IS the filament.

The Stereo Ahead video is today and up to date. Just look at the timestamp on the bottom of the movie.

Other soho images will still need time to be updated yet. This is very recent still.

Again, any kind of radiation no matter if corpuscular or electromagnetic would reach the Earth in less than 9 minutes.

It is the Explosion on the LEFT, not the right. The cme on the right is not earth facing.

It also looks like it will be a straight shot towards us. We've had cme's before, though I'm not aware of a filament hitting us before.
