BREAKING - The Solar Filament Just Burst - STRONG CHANCE WE ARE SCREWED!!! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 954745 United States 05/23/2010 05:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fuck you! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 978937I have children and a VERY good life regarding economy. It is the WORLD that needs to reset, ctr-alt-del start all over. It is for JUSTICE i wish we start all over. Fuck you! And in a completely different direction than what happened this time. No monopolies. Only equality. And if you think that a sole power wouldn't rise again as it has done throughout civilisation history then you are crazy. We are human, this is our nature. Divide and conquer. It starts with good intentions but they never last! Then maybe it's high time to look at our "human nature" and actually DO THE WORK to change it instead of just saying, "Oh well, it's what we do." Because that just plain BULLSHIT. Unless you like that to be your excuse. It's not MY excuse. I doubt very much humanity will ever get another chance to screw things up like this ever again. Just my two cents. I wonder if all the power asnd the money will be able to save anyone? I doubt it. You know those sonofabeaches jump right out of a sinking ship with all that sheet stuffed in their freakin money belts, though they know it will kill them !!! They won't share even after they're dead. We have to survive with what we got, and it is enough, if we re-learn how to work ! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 519048 Netherlands 05/23/2010 05:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Besides an EMP type event that would instantly send us back to 1930, the biggest concern I actually have is for: 1) Katala volcano kicking off in Iceland 2) Major Earthquake 7.0+ Or both because of the potential extra stress on the earth's crust because of this. In any event, I love you all. |
b0ozer User ID: 979398 Germany 05/23/2010 05:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well the difference with this event is that the flare was caused a hyder flare instead of a regular CME that is caused by a sunspot. I`m not sure if a hyder flare has hit the earth in the past (since recordings began) and I´m not even sure if Nasa knows the differences between these two events. (thats the reason they`re putting so much effort in studying the sun.) Since there were some power outages in 2003 from a regular CME, it could very well mean that we will face some of the same effects. But there is no way of predicting the severity of the incident until it hits us. We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are. - Anais Nin |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 901059 United States 05/23/2010 05:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If this is bad shouldn't we see the same kind of images in the next hours that happened for the 2003 event? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 963695Yes and no. Considering human interaction with the systems we view those images with will greatly dictate what we see and when. Now, the actual images themselves, whether photographed or not, will be similar in some ways and some ways not. {I just got major Deva'vu} The 2003 burst is from a sun spot and this one is from a filament. A very LARGE filament. So the ejecting mechanism is different leading me to believe the impact sequences may vary from the 2003 CME. |

Worst case-EMP type damage to all things electrical-think living in the 1800's or further back. BTW-IF, I do mean IF this is the big one don't expect any warning from PTB, MSM, etc. You are getting all the warning you're likely to get right here. I am no expert and really looking for more confirmation myself. I just posted a warning on my myspace about what I read here and my friends will probably think im a nut case since its not on the news lol. Oh well .. Let them think it I guess lol |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 979292 United States 05/23/2010 05:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You guys are worse than some kids on a sugar/doom high. Remember, virtually nothing (anything with mass anyways) travels in space in a straight line. Instead it travels in an arc or ellipse. This would include cme's. So the fact it was pointed directly at the earth leads me to believe it will not be a direct hit. |
