Terrebonne translates into beautiful land, I do believe. Ironic.

Wow...

Makes you wonder how anybody could let themselves be dependent on corporations or government anymore.

Unfortunately, if anyone did step up with equipment and supplies to save their own lives, they would be breaking some law and threatened with arrest.

This is the stuff that revolutions are made from, eh?

When pressured for a reason why the response was ineffective he said, "I guess I'm just slow and dumb."

YOu want a conspiracy? Imagine that you are eyeing the coastline near one the two largest oil reserves to be discovered ever. This is also a region that has not been able to completely rebuild after hurricane after hurricane.

There is a pipeline infrastructure already under sea that looks like a highway system, a congested highway system, and it already links to the coast. Problem though, if you are talking about industrializing it. These are environmentally sensitive areas, the nursery for 25% of our seafood in the US. Very near rice lands, and other crops.

What to do, what to do? huffy

Oh, of course. How silly of me. Now, it wouldn't look good to cause the rig to blow, but ignore all kinds of regulations, ignore the gasket flying out of the pipe in chunks, ignore all of the pressure tests that are wrong, phewy on the weak batteries too. And, don't plug the thing properly.

Accident? You say it wouldn't make sense for them to do this? No, it doesn't make sense, but......................
when the oil starts gushing and fowling those beaches, wetlands, wildlife refuges, and destroys it all, there are no more sensitive areas to protect.
You see where this plot is going? Yes, I know that you do.
Why rush to keep it away from that valuable future industrial complex?

Well, just to help bring some income into the ravaged economies, they will now look to buy property, and build industry where once vital wetlands once stood. After all, what else is it good for?

I'm just sayin'
