se447 User ID: 980021 Germany 05/24/2010 08:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was just reported on Fox News (Fox and Friends) a few minutes ago that the navy had taken things into their own hands and tried to stop the leak with a large (and non-nuclear) explosion. But things have gone bad and the hole is a lot bigger now and the oil flow has gotten much worse. Quoting: Mexico Bill 826185LOL what fn idiots... i cannot believe they would be that stupid. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 979888 United States 05/24/2010 08:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | just count one thousand one, if it doesn't seem like enough oil to fill up two barrels in a second, then my guesstimating skills are way out of line. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 792204I think that would equate to approx. 170,000 barrels a day. It's wacked, we're fucked, and it's going to be a long stinky summer for a lot of the gulf and east coast. The ROVs are providing us with a view of future grand scale death, directly from the horses mouth, as we see it now. |

Don't forget...this "stink" can KILL YOU! OH yeah, I'm so pissed for my naples and marco island friends, nice real estate going bad soon. It just really pisses me off that you can take the most awesome area of the gulf and just destroy it, and that's it. Money doesn't fix this, nothing fixes this but time, and a lot of time at that. uuuurrrrrgggggghhhhh. |

Is not a lot of this flow just demonic sulpher farts ? I was being on the very low side of the estimate including taking in account for 20 percent of demonic sulpher farts. Look at it, count one second, and just try to put that 1 second of flow into two barrels. There is a shit load blasting out of there. |

His eyes got big and he quickly switched to another story. He was stammering and looked real nervous. Quoting: Mexico Bill 826185I think he got a message in his ear piece to cease and desist about that story. A very stern command that shook him up. This story will get spiked. anybody got a link for this news footage to verify this statement above. any youtube video yet? |

One's merky at the moment, the other's clear. One has debris falling, the other doesn't... Someone, or both are feeding us a loop! |

Malcouth User ID: 844465 United States 05/24/2010 08:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Was curios about Quakes in the gulf area. Found this... Note: 2006 September 10 14:56:07 UTC ** ** ** # The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: A strong earthquake occurred about 250 miles (405 km) south-southwest of Apalachicola, Florida at 8:56 AM MDT, Sep 10, 2006 (10:56 AM EDT in Florida). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. This earthquake was felt in parts of Florida, Georgia and Alabama. No reports of damage or casualties have been received at this time. Felt Reports Items were knocked from shelves and seiches were observed in swimming pools in parts of Florida. Felt (IV) at Brooksville, Crystal River, Kissimmee, Lakeland, Osteen, Palm Coast, Panama City, Port Saint Joe, Santa Rosa Beach, Titusville and Wimauma, Florida. Felt in much of Florida including (III) at Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Tallahassee and Tampa. Felt in parts of Georgia including (III) at Atlanta. Also felt in parts of Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. Also felt at Freeport, The Bahamas and at Cancun and Merida, Mexico. Tectonic Summary This earthquake was centered beneath the Gulf of Mexico, well distant from the nearest active plate boundary. Such "midplate" earthquakes are much less common than earthquakes occurring on faults near plate boundaries, and most probably represent the release of long-term tectonic stresses that ultimately originate from forces applied at the plate boundary. This is the largest of more than a dozen shocks that have been instrumentally recorded from the eastern Gulf of Mexico in the past three decades, and it is the most widely felt. The most recent significant earthquake in the region occurred on February 10th, 2006 and had a magnitude of 5.2. We have not associated this earthquake with a specific causative fault. I'm sorry, but how the fuck does that make any logical sense? The explosion was supposed to seal the leak by crumpling the drill pipe with debris. Apparently it didn't work as planned. There is a whitehut news conference soon. Maybe they will talk about it. Bammy wanted the glory for fixing it but it backfired. |

I don't like FDL's story as the author never bothered to mention how they found out that the sea floor collapsed. And the Navy dropping is a bomb is simply too much to believe. |

IT IS A BIG BIG DEAL Exactly my thoughts too. I think this disaster is going to be much bigger & more serious than 9/11. It is my feeling that just like 9/11 this oil spill was no accident. When you have sociopaths running our countries & heading up corporations, every criminal act is on the table to accomplish their goals |

Shouldn't there be shadows from the "arm" to the ground or pipes? I really don't see shadowing that is associated with bright spot or flood lights? It's rather like the video is coming from a depth that is much shallower and has sunlight. (Might be different at night I suppose) Comments? |
