On the good side, the oil crisis is over. All they have to do to get oil now is stick a pipe in the gulf and get all the oil they want. Gas soon to hit .50 a gal.

If you 'tile' the two video links you can tell they are obviously two different cameras.

Tectonic Summary

This earthquake was centered beneath the Gulf of Mexico, well distant from the nearest active plate boundary. Such "midplate" earthquakes are much less common than earthquakes occurring on faults near plate boundaries, and most probably represent the release of long-term tectonic stresses that ultimately originate from forces applied at the plate boundary. This is the largest of more than a dozen shocks that have been instrumentally recorded from the eastern Gulf of Mexico in the past three decades, and it is the most widely felt. The most recent significant earthquake in the region occurred on February 10th, 2006 and had a magnitude of 5.2. We have not associated this earthquake with a specific causative fault.

The explosion was supposed to seal the leak by crumpling the drill pipe with debris. Apparently it didn't work as planned.

We need confirmation. I don't like FDL's story as the author never bothered to mention how they found out that the sea floor collapsed. And the Navy dropping is a bomb is simply too much to believe.

Exactly my thoughts too. I think this disaster is going to be much bigger & more serious than 9/11. It is my feeling that just like 9/11 this oil spill was no accident.

There are reports that a highly damaged Israeli submarine is floundering off the coast of Louisiana.

I realize that the ROV has lights, and with out them it should really dark down there at 5000 feet.

Shouldn't there be shadows from the "arm" to the ground or pipes? I really don't see shadowing that is associated with bright spot or flood lights?

It's rather like the video is coming from a depth that is much shallower and has sunlight. (Might be different at night I suppose)
