The Constitution was brutally declawed and neutered in 1868. Today it is a twisted remnant that serves only as an inspiration for service members because they do not realize that the document itself was discreetly turned against itself. You think freedom because freedom is what you were taught to think. It's what we wer all taught.

The thing you dont understand....the Militias (ex military or ex military led), all active, and retired service members took the same oath!!! Liberalism comes from a treatise on 1960's radicalism, written by two Columbia professors (and husband and wife) Cloward and Piven! It describes the destruction of the Capatalist system, and overriding of the Constitution by overwhelming the system with entitlements! As we can see by recent events....this is a Sound tactic....for proof refer to recent events in Greece!!! Cloward and Piven wrote their treatise, to better inform people such as Bill Ayers, who were conducting a more direct violent approache to bringing down the American System!!! Their cited predecessor was a man named Saul Olinski (sp?).....and self proclaimed Communist from around the turn of the 20th century! Cloward and Piven stood behind Bill Clinton when he signed legislation that was in keeping with their writings! The same is true with Obama! This is a concerted effort by a large group of Individuals, working in concert behind the scenes, with the unknowing support of Millions who have no idea what it is they are supporting, because Liberalism now is in control of the Media, as well as the instruction in our Universities! The only statement from the Marines that bothers me til this very say is something that my hubby sings til this very day... something, something "blood makes grass grow, kill kill kill!" makes my stomach turn.

Politicians did not give us our freedoms. Soldiers did. So complain all you want, and thank a soldier.

Study your history a bit more.
In 1775 it was the citizens who stood up and declared their independence. They were not professional soldiers in any sense of the word. They were citizens who picked up arms as was needed to provide a common defense. They were citizens who did what they had to do.
Was it soldiers that threw the Boston tea party? Did soliders write the Declaration of Independence? Did they write the Constitution of the United States?

At the outset of the war, the thirteen colonies lacked a professional army or navy. Each colony provided for its own defenses with local militia made up of local citizens. Militiamen were lightly armed, had little training, and usually did not have uniforms. Their units served for only a few weeks or months at a time, were reluctant to go very far from home, and were thus generally unavailable for extended operations. Militia lacked the training and discipline of soldiers with more experience, but were more numerous and could overwhelm regular troops, as at the battles of Concord, Bennington and Saratoga, and the siege of Boston. Both sides used partisan warfare but the Americans were particularly effective at suppressing Loyalist activity when British regulars were not in the area. If this were to happen today the government would declare the citizens who took up arms terrorist or unlawful combatants.

The Americans citizens responded in 1776 by formally declaring their independence as one new nation — the United States of America — claiming their own sovereignty and rejecting any allegiance to the British monarchy.

It should also be noted that citizens started the American Revolution long before the Revolutionary War.They first rejected the authority of the Parliament of Great Britain to govern them from overseas without representation, and then expelled all royal officials.

Having served in the military I can say that the military provides security it does not provide freedom. It is up to every American citizen to ensure that freedom is a right in this great contry that we will continue to enjoy.

During the Clinton Administration I was asked while serving in the Texas National Guard if I would fire on American citizens. We were doing riot control training and I was pulled in and asked this question.


My answer, and I remember it today the same as I did over 10 years ago was,

"Not only would I fire on American citizens, but I would shoot the officer that gave me the unlawful order".

At that time that was the general feeling of those I served with. I can't say how they feel today but there are a LOT of retired soldiers such as myself that flat out stand for America and only America. And we will defend against it, die for it, and fight those foreign and domestic. There is a huge silent majority out there I would not stir up.

The true way of the Military, any American in any service. I just waited to see if someone would say it.

If a command is given by a Officer to a unit to do anything
that is against the constitution and the American people, you take over his command and arrest him or her. Also against the
Military code of honor. It was good to hear someone say it.

The people don't need the marines. You're over there fighting for some land some narcotics and guys in turbans who couldnt hit the broad side of a barn. Honestly what use is the army to the average joe? I don't see anything good you guys are doing. I know you're going through a lot of hard times but to whos benefit.
