I think that because they are dealing with this situation so slowly, and so FUCKING INEPT, that there is the possibility of the sea floor starting to collapse, and the oil gushing out at 50,000 barrels a minute... Imagine that...

I don't think the prophecies is Revelation concerning the sea are literal.

Here's why. Look at the order of the trumpet blasts:

“And the first one blew his trumpet. And there occurred a hail and fire mingled with blood, and it was hurled to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees was burned up, and all the green vegetation was burned up.” (Revelation 8:7)
