He is talking of the increasing violence being inflicted upon the legal residents of AZ ... is bringing up the drug corridors through the state and the drug cartels, giving some statistics & is going into the numbers of illegal immigrants that have been pouring in, how many do not get

The amount of $$ that has been requested for immediate operations = $500 MILLION in supplemental appropriation.

The AZ AG is now on live CNN : Typing as they talk. He is pleased that the feds are now responding. There are questions & he is giving replies, very fast so hard to type. Some comments on how all this will help, their state having drug cartels moving in , etc.

Remarks about whether or not these efforts now being put in place would then lead to AZ removing the recent law enacted about leo's being required to check for legal status when dealing with lawbreakers in that state?

(I say that time is now for all states to enact such laws as AZ .... TEXAS too is going to hell in a handbasket , our state, our nation is being stolen by these illegal thieves and soon we native citizens will be trying to survive for our very lives as they gang up and kill our families & take away our property.

I am thinking that Arizona is afraid that it will start to turn nasty sometime in the near future, because the Mexicans are becoming more threatening to the people, who are supporting their governor, with catching these illegal aliens and jailing them.

OP here, no more on CNN so far ... just wanting to add that some weird going on noticed, recently, by many of us in Texas that are natives, especially ranchers & people living rurals where the illegals were always treated with dignity & given jobs working around the community, children accepted in the schools, not real problems for decades.

In just past year or so, everyone talks of how they not only feel threatened and afraid of the ones now coming in (hordes of 'em) but that it's something even more than just the huge numbers and the way they flood entire towns and just "take over" in ways that are unbelievable. There's something about the way they now act towards us, just passing in public, hanging out around stores, wherever you go ... even the women, they radiate an attitude of hatred & arrogance, as if they would quickly slit our throats if any opportunity were to come along.

It's very weird as it was NEVER like this before the past couple of years and I'm talking from over 50 years back, growing up with illegals who we really cared about as people and treated them with respect; they were working on ranches & thoughout the region and were considered good workers & people that were willing to work hard along with us and pull themselves up by the bootstraps, which was how it was in west Texas ranch-world over the past century.

But now that has all changed and it's not just that the younger ones are aligned in gangs ... there's something more. It seems that the masses of illegals are from not only Mexico but also from all over South America yet they do not have the gentle nature of the native people of areas like Peru or Argentina - no, these are more like the brutal, military-trained killers from places like the Columbia drug cartels, etc.

I've sensed strongly that those coming in now days have this lawless, (almost seems like they have NO soul when looking in their eyes ? hmm, could they be clones or programmed or ??? ) ... they have a very ruthless quality, like wherever we go they are just there, hordes of them malingering around not only in huge areas of cities (San Antonio is totally taken over as is El Paso, Austin is getting that way, then next would be Dallas + Houston + Ft Worth) - but there are fast growing numbers of illegals in all small towns, even tiny places, and this is all over the state of Texas. And local leo's we know tell of how they find many hunkering down way out far from anyone, hiding out in rural areas where there will be 20-30 or more living in one tiny house, all crammed in filthy, squatting, killing wild animals or rustling from local ranches to stay alive w/ food.

All this is changing our lives in every way, everbody is keeping loading guns hidden all over their houses, buying extra arms + ammo too, being careful everywhere now and having to keep kids close by as it is like this is no longer our home land and we are the strangers in our own town. And with this illegal invasion of the USA there is something so very sinister happening and I know 100% in my heart it is not a coincidence, it is part of a very, very evil agenda (*NWO*) that is working secretly (and even from saboteurs from within) to kill off the legal American people and to ultimately DESTROY this nation and to do so in ways that few people could ever imagine in worst nightmares!

This is a breaking news alert from Fox on cable right now @ 1:52 pm CDT.... not saying which state yet.

Now the timing of this move coming today, on top of everything else (& so much of major significance!!) that's going on really, really gets my attention.
