Vietnamese babies have been born horribly deformed and unwell after that shit with that in mind, whats your opinion about any babies born in the southern areas when this shit gets into the water table, into the seafood scared yet? 4 crew members were removed from one of the boats. One by helicopter. They claim to have come in contact with the dispersants. Of course, BP is saying not sure whether it was dispersants, oil, or weathered oil they came in contact with. Testing the crew members at the hospital and even their clothing for samples to find out what it is/was. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 973854 United States 05/27/2010 09:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Weren't these the very same people who a week or two ago were bitchin up a storm on TV because BP had NOT yet hired them to work out on the spill? Sheesh ... First people down there complain about NOT being hired to work on the spill Next people down there complain that working on the spill makes them sick. Next people down there will be suing everybody under the sun because they got the job doing exactly what they wanted to do and were very emotionally clammering to do. ANYBODY with half a brain knew that going out and working on a sea filled with methane gas in the air and all sorts of petro chemical/oil vapors coming off the sea PLUS large quantities of other types industrial strength chemicals was NOT going to be safe environment for the human body. There is no making those people happy. I feel for them ... but lets face it they seem to have an IQ and ability to reason down around the level of a emotion driven 5 year old. The ones who were NOT hired to work on the spill should actually be thanking BP for NOT hiring them and kissing the ground that they are walking on ... they actually may have a chance to live out a full natural lifespan |

Anonymous User ID: 750018 United States 05/27/2010 10:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I did my HAZMAT training 2 years ago, benzine was one of the chemicals stressed upon to be very cautious with. It is a high level toxin and should not be inhaled, ingested, or absorbed. Nothing less than Class A protection suits and gears should be used. Quoting: MyThisGuiseBP and company know this. That's why I can't believe I'm seeing people with no protection aiding in the clean-up. BP & co. know that lawsuits are cheaper in the long run than providing proper hazmat gear to everybody now. Valdez has been able to stall paying off on lawsuits for 20+ years. |

Now, I have no doubt there are poisonous fumes all over the area and people are going to get sick but to recall 625 men because 4 feel sick doesn't sound like something the government would do.. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 945763 United States 05/27/2010 11:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think they should call in ALL the boats and torch the whole thing. It could then become and eternal light 50 miles off Louisiana. In a few years there would be many who would believe that god did it, and a whole new religion could be born. And of course there would be sacrifices to the flame. There is no end to human insanity. |

They don't make any decisions except for the brave decisions of entering the spill zone and working hard hoping they can make a difference. What other choice do we have? No one here on GLP or in America knows an easy way to fix things. |
