| musket practice User ID: 956677 05/30/2010 06:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ooooohhh ... another Jingo War. Mexicans, Brits, Jews, Muslims, Saudis (ooops, forget that...Bush kisses them) who did I forget? Like saying kick the Vatican out of Italy ... hahaha ... or kick AIG out of the US ... what is it about "globalism" you don't understand? No sovereignty, no governments, nothing but profiteering and plundering. Until they have a little loss, and then they plunder the public coffers of whatever country happens to be the closest. But yeah, polish up your musket and get them some Brits. |

| George User ID: 986871 05/30/2010 07:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Surely the USA should repeal the Russian and Belarus Democracy Acts of 2002 and 2004 before it dares to criticise BP for an industrial "accident". No sovereign nation would feel safe after this act, not to mention the US's hundreds of acts of invasion and/or interference in the affairs of any nation that dares to run its own race without consulting with the USA.Frankly most of the world's nations, even its allies have had a gut full of the USA's self obsession and total disregard for the welfare of the people of other nations. The US only does good if it suits the US and any acts of kindness towards other nations seem to be purely by accident or in the course of the US protecting its own interests. Not much sympathy out there for the USA's oil slick problems, nor for its imminent economic collapse except of course when it spreads to other nations. It's like the school bully expecting sympathy when he himself is attacked and beaten by a gang of thugs. No one cares! Kick the Brits out of US waters? Ha, ha not until the US gets out of everyone elses waters, and lands for that matter. |

Violate the environment and people of other countries and when they complain, call them xenophobes, nativists and racist, lol. Quoting: susanoLol in a thread that states "Kick the Brits (BP) Out of U.S. Waters". While not saying that Beyond Petroleum wasn't in charge of the rig I believe I have the right to a little moral high ground climbing. And as for the Germans trying to stir it up. [link to www.bp.com] OH noes them krauts are in bed with BP. |

| atrainUSA User ID: 996162 06/07/2010 09:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First, BP is a British Company, but like any publicly traded, global company, it has shareholders all over the world. That's obvious. Second, of all the major oil oil companies in the world (the supermajors: exxonmobile, dutch shell, chevron, conoco phillips, and total SA), BP has had the most safety violations. By a long shot. I mean hundreds more than the others. It is a terrible, second rate company. They should be shunned from doing business in the United States. Hopefully this spill puts BP out of business. They have not taken safety procedures seriously, and now they created the largest oil spill in U.S. history. BP should not be able to sell gas in the U.S. Period. The United States needs to kick BP out of this country, just like our ancestors kicked the redcoats back across the pond. Third, to all those brits bashing on Americans in this thread fuck you. And Americans, don't let those Brits get to you. This is America. The best nation on Earth. A nation filled with rugged individualists. A proud nation, which won it's independence by kicking the shit out of the redcoats, which was supposedly the toughest military. I really hate redcoats. It brings tears of joy to my eyes that America was formed in such a glorious way. England is America's bitch forever. Nobody can touch us, and it was all started by beating down those ugly British redcoats. That showed what America was all about. We were the underdog that prevailed. We did what nobody thought we could do. Every 4th of July, I look for a Brit to berate. The persistence, the rugged individualism, the will to win...it is truly one the best world tales of all time and will certainly last until humanity's end. Fuck you cocky Brits...you are a weak nation. You bash on my fellow Americans, and you are just as cowardly as your weak redcoat ancestors, which we proudly excused from doing business in the USA. Come try to colonize us again you sally little girls. We'll send you back across the pond crying to your mums. (haha like how i said mums) God, England is useless. Sorry to get off BP. Brits always have a pompous attitude and piss me off. Reminds me of my ancestors kicking the shit out their "top notch" military. Fuck redcoats. Anyway, like i said, BP has had many safety violations and this oil spill is just the straw that broke the camels back. |
| Dave User ID: 998973 06/10/2010 11:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I understand the anger with BP and President Obama's lassie faire approach to the oil leaking in the Gulf of Mexico. Using the logic of removing BP from the Gulf would be like not allowing Southwest airlines to fly over the US if they were a plane crash. We have to be careful not to take action based on emotion and look at the economic impact of the actions we take. BP is the largest supplier of fuel to the Department of Defense and employs thousands of people in the US. Given our current economic situation do we really want to put thousands of people out of work? What about the people that work for the tier one and tier two suppliers of the company there are hundreds of thousands for jobs and families that would be affected by taking such an action. This demonization of BP by the White House and the media doesn't help either. I think there should be an investigation of the response to this disaster by BP and the White House. If the White House was found to be using the BP situation to further their Cap and Trade agenda or if BP or any of the other company and/or Government Regulators are guilty of gross negligence they should be held accountable. I have been hearing a lot of people on the left calling for the US Government to take over BP like they did with GM and Chrysler. There are a couple major problems with this first BP is not a US company so if we did do something like that we would be like Putin in Russia and Chavez in Venezuela. Is that who we are? I think you should also look at what all the threatening talk is doing to our UK allies elderly and their retirement programs. These people are heavily invested in BP, do we have no compassion? Is the new slogan “Somebody has to lose so I can win" these days? You might want to ask why the Obama administration turned down the help of the Netherland, who had the equipment to contain the spill three days after the explosion. Remember that the Chief of Staff said, "Never let a crisis go to waste." I highly doubt that the company created this situation on purpose; it was an accident. |
