There are plasma waves that can precede CME's as discussed in this book p. 303 up to 8 hours ahead of the CME. Read at least columns on right of page.

Perhaps it is these waves preceding the CME that are also affecting seismic areas besides the CME itself.

I have read a couple of articles in last year inferring that scientists are looking at any possible relationships between eq's and CME's, etc. It will probably take a long while before they will be able to prove it either way.

I'm new here...for what would one receive a pin?
