[link to global.mobileaction.com] They are for your model, but a specific cable vendor. However, it's possible they will do what you need. Cheers! The power of Linux COMPELS you! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 548111If the phone is old as you say then chances are they haven't made a Windows 7 driver for it yet, don't you have access to a Windows XP machine? Actually, this isn't a bad suggestion.... which version of Windows 7 are you using? You can try XP Mode in windows 7, if you need to use older software that 7 isn't able to run. MountainTux User ID: 873257 Canada 05/27/2010 07:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the problem is when i plug the phone into the usb, its not picking it up. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 717575Right, I get that, which is why I suggested the previous drivers. Also, some phones REQUIRE their own or a similar software, which carries wrapped drivers, to be present. But if it's simply that Windows 7 has no current drivers, XP mode might find XP based drivers which will recognize the unit. Remember, it's not a Mass Storage device, so Windows needs to be "taught" how to talk with it. The power of Linux COMPELS you! |

Without a Windows 7 certified driver it won't. There should be an XP driver for it but you'll need an XP based system. |

It's a VIRTUAL RUN of Windows XP, meaning that anything that WORKS with XP (other than 3d graphics) will work in XP mode. The power of Linux COMPELS you! |
MountainTux User ID: 873257 Canada 05/27/2010 07:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you r asking me to run in xp mode when i cant even get a drv to get the computer to know there is a device connected. it doest not make sense. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 717575What doesn't make sense to you? Windows 7 has an "XP MODE." Look it up. It is a virtual install of XP, meaning that your Windows 7 PC is running a canned image of XP... letting it do all of that fun XP stuff. Has ZERO to do with Win 7 drivers. And for the record, did either of the drivers I found work for you? Or have you tried them? Last Edited by MountainTux on 05/27/2010 07:19 PM The power of Linux COMPELS you! |
][nfeRnaL User ID: 61633 United States 05/27/2010 07:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sounds like you have a possible bad cable if you already tried other usb ports. Even without a driver the phone should be detected and be in error in the device manager. Try to turn phone off while connected to PC then back on and see if it sees it. It must see the device even if in error of driver. No see means bad cable or bad usb port. Driver wont matter till it is seen by the device manager. |

First post said WimpDoze 7 could not find driver, hence it must have seen the device. Mind, OP didn't explicitly SAY he got a message, so good point. My bad for not looking at that aspect.
