He was interviewing.... Sarah Palin.

She was crying about a journalist renting the house next to hers up in Alaska. Now the journalist will be able to spy on her and her family and hear them when they leave their windows open in the summertime (she made a point of saying she doesn't own an air conditioner... like that's real egalitarian of her, not owning an A/C in Alaska)
