The living are conscious that death will come to them, but the dead are not conscious of anything, and they no longer have a reward, because there is no memory of them.

I do completely agree that 'soon' for us and 'soon' for God must feel like something completely different. However, it is totally sooner than it was and History is leading towards WW3 so it is best to be ready in every possible way!

Jesus Christ taught that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are alive. First, i do not even know if you are trying to quote Scripture. Second, it would be a grave error to try to pluck one thing out of context and pass it off as teaching. There are many, many Scripures that speak about judgement after death!
